The Houston win is looking more and more like a fluke. Obviously wouldn't have happened without talent, but that talent just hasn't meshed into any sort of consistency yet. Hoping that happens at some point - if that's tonight, I would love to be wrong! We aren't very good? We beat Houston, if you didn't notice. I know we also lost a couple of head-scratchers but that's college basketball, especially early in the season. I have a feeling once we win tomorrow night everyone will come back out of the woodwork.
We looked like a top 5 team after the Houston win and 25 minutes of the Kansas gameTrying to keep my expectations on the low side so disappointment doesn’t set in. After the Houston win I was telling people we are one of the best teams in the country. Then we drop a few which I know doesn’t mean that we are bad. If we win this one I think we will reverse a lot of the momentum and head back in the right direction.
I've seen no posts or commentary on tomorrow's home game vs. a top 10 blueblood program that could give us another signature win. I know it's the holidays, we've had a week off, and we just hired a new DC for football, but this is still a HUGE game where we can right the ship and regain some positive momentum as this group of young men heads into SEC play next month. It is still early in the season. Is anyone at all looking forward to this game, or will TBA be only half-full?
I think we win. If not, it will be very close.since we now have 2 freshmen starting and apparently only 2 viable scoring options in the starting lineup, it is
not looking too good for the immediate unless some major development emerges. It will be jam packed tomorrow,
but if we are blown out, future attendance may be somewhat diminished.

We haven't lost many high profile games in BB at home. Just look at our record the last 5 years against top 25, top 20, top 25, top 10 and top 5 teams. We lead in every category but one and are second in that one (top 5)ESPN’s 7pm time slot. No NFL game. The one bowl game (at 9pm) is garbage. The only matchup of ranked teams. The ratings could be huge. UT has a history of losing a lot of high profile FB or BB games at home.

Now I know what it feels like to be optimistic on the football board. I’m by no means a sunshine pumper, but when I look at the matchup and that we have a chance to “get right” with a signature win in front of of our home crowd after ten days off to regroup, this is a great spot for us. I’ve watched Louisville a lot, too, and the few stretches where they have struggled this season are against athletic teams that play physical defense and can dictate the pace of the game.I’m going, but not sure how much I’m “looking forward to it.”
