10 - 2 with a loss to UF
9 - 3 with a with over UF
WHAT DO YOU CHOOSE?
I have a personal reason for not being able to think about the Ohio game.
My only sibling is a Gator.
He rubs it in constantly.
He says it doesn't matter who coaches each team every year because the Gators will always have superior talent.
I was actually feeling good about our chances this year until I watched them dismantle UK.
Del Rio has a really strong arm and their defense may rival Bamas as the best in the country.
I'm hoping that UK is just so bad that they made UF look so good.
I haven't been to a Florida game since the Gaffney non catch. I hate them so much that it is not rational, not Christian, and it makes me say really inappropriate things.
But, I'm going this year. Damn it all to Hades.
If we lose, I might just walk across the Henley Street Bridge and take the plunge rather than listen to my stupid brother brag for another 365 days...argh! :thud:
Gators would love to give you some of your own blood to taste. I worry about this game, but I don't worry about getting devastated.Obsessed? No. Filled with hate for them...yes.
I can't tell you why, mainly because there are just so many reasons I have a hard time picking one.
I hate that their fans can even say something like "12 in a row" being a possibility.
I hate that we have lost two games in a row to them that we should have won, and that I have been at both of them and had to listen to their fans afterward.
I hate everyone of of their stupid jort wearing fans with every part of my existence....especially the ones with mullets.
I hate the stupid chomp, the only time I have enjoyed it was watching the fans do it in Neyland in 1990.
I literally can not stand the color blue.
If I hear Verne slobber all over the gators one more time I might go postal.
I love the Vols. For several months out of the year, it is honestly about all I think about. I hear Rocky Top echoing through Neyland Stadium in my sleep. There is an endless stream of orange jerseys running untouched to the checkerboards. Watching the T open and hearing the crowd roar is the single greatest experience on earth.
It's time to beat the gators. And by beat, I don't mean sneak by with a bunch of fourth down completions. I don't mean beat with mythical catches in the end zone. I mean B.E.A.T. Make them cry. Run the ball straight down their throat. Step on their face. Make them see Orange in their nightmares. It's time. It's been way too long. We need to win by 40 and have 100,000 fans there cheering every single last extra point.
The boys are ready to play football. Some of the fans might be worried about this game, but I guarantee the players aren't. They will come out of that tunnel ready to taste blood. If Neyland Stadium isn't at that same level on the 24th, we don't deserve to call ourselves fans. It's time for Rocky Top to echo off the Hills of Tennessee again!
See you in Section Y7. Go VOLS!
