Is Anybody Buying Mizzou Beating UF before UT shows up?

A hamstring that keeps you from playing at all doesn't heal in a couple of weeks. They'll dose him up good but cold weather is no bad hamstring's friend either. Bryant may start but he doesn't finish the game on both legs. UF works them over, could be as bad as what they did to Vandy.

My thought as well. MO might have Bryant back, but how effective will he be with lingering hammy/knee issues? (Thought I saw somewhere he’s wearing a brace on that knee)

Yeah but there's still a big difference between average and terrible.

the last three weeks, Mizzou has been just that - terrible. They are also not bowl eligible due to probation, and so have little to play for

And for those of you seemingly unaware, Bryant played against both Vandy and Kentucky.

UF will be a good game to measure Mizzou. Better than any previous game. UGA wasn't playing their best ball and still throttled Mizzou.

Mizzou statistically leads the SEC in pass D. They held USCe (SEC's #5 passing O) and UGA (SEC's #7 passing O) to under 50% completions. On the flips side, their other 3 SEC opponents happen to be the numbers 12, 13, and 14 passing O's in the SEC. UF is by far and away the best passing O they've faced.

He played in the losses at Vandy and KY.

I actually didnt know he played against Vandy. Howebver, KY I watched and that was borderline hurricane like weather so yeah, thats not going to benefit him whatsoever and completely benefit KY who wasnt going to throw the ball to begin with.

Im not saying KB is a world beater, but to say he isnt worlds better than their backups would be wrong.

I saw that stat about their passing defense but that can be misleading sometimes. Why? Because if the offenses are easily moving the ball on the ground there's not a lot of need to put it in the air.

Their rushing stats aren't bad either. They have a good D. Their stats are skewed by bad competition.

If he is able to play after the FLA game, which is a very big if, we need to blanket their receivers on obvious passing downs and force him to run the ball. If he hasn't done his proper stretching, his hammy will not hold up. The cold will definitely be our friend that night.

At the first of this season, a bunch of self appointed experts (many on this very board) bitched and complained about FL being in the top 10, then went on to cry and whine (as if they were spoiled little girls) about how FL shouldn't even be in the top 20! To add a little salt to it, they said something along the lines of, Florida won't be in the top 50 by mid-season, bla, bla, bla. These are NOT the guys you want to listen to for any football dope. If you are going to put your money where your mouth is, i.e. place a bet, never listen to these guys. FL whips mizzou.

Florida is often guilty of playing down to the level of their competition.

I wouldn’t pick Mizzou to win. I also wouldn’t touch that spread.

Florida is often guilty of playing down to the level of their competition EXCEPT when they play us.

I think FL and Mizzou are BOTH overrated. Still don't think the Gators are a top 10 team (certainly a top 20 team though) and I think MO is an average SEC team at best and am tired of hearing about them being a contender. They don't have the history, the players or the fanbase to be an elite SEC team. I'm still not even convinced that they ARE an SEC team. Yes, they have beaten us over the past five years or so, but this decade has been the worst in our 120 year history. Things should get back to normal soon where FL and TN beat them easily every year.

Like it or not the Gators are a top 11team. This is not my opinion, it is a fact, look it up. If you google NCAA top 25 rankings, you will see FL is a Top 11 team. Fl has been in the top ten all season, and has just slipped to #11. Have you been betting against FL all season? God Bless you! But you are correct when you say they are a top 20. It is amazing the change in attitudes that occurs when one starts putting some money on the games, suddenly that terrible team, isn't actually that terrible-if you plan to win some money. I have stated, and believe FL will beat MO, no problem, I wouldn't be that quick to bet on the over. Arkansas, Vandy and MO aren't LSU, BAMA, GA or for that matter FL, but we need some of these cupcakes, or we wouldn't be getting any bowl games!

Yes, the voters have ranked FL at number 11, but are they are REAL top 11 team? I dont think so. There are quite a few lower ranked teams that I feel could beat some of the higher ranked teams. If you feel that the OPINIONS of writers and coaches are actually FACTS, then so be it. I dont think anyone takes polls that seriously, especially outside of the top 5 as most rankings are opinions and politics.

Sir, you are they guy that quoted the rankings (See post 119) so while "'''I don't think anyone takes polls that seriously....."'' you are some one, be proud of it, don't let others tell you your nobody! You took the time to look at rankings, and comment on them, they matter to you, as they do to 10's of millions of fans, Not to mention advertisers, AD's, bonus money paid on rankings (HCs and others). God Bless you, you are somebody!!

I kind of want Mizzou to get up big early and then blow a huge lead that turns into a 3 overtime soul destroying loss.

It's kind of funny that Drew Lock is a seeming bust in the NFL right now

Lock has been injured since August and as such hasn't practiced since. Not fair to judge him yet.

He'll eventually be a darn good hire by Elway (especially for a 2nd rounder) which should make up for some of Elway's bonehead draft decisions.

Just looks like Mizzou is headed the wrong way and UF has been pretty consistent all year.

Mizzou has had success over the last few years, this just doesnt feel like one of those years.
