If schools can't get players, coaches and refs on a field this fall in very controlled conditions, athletics and their revenue will be the least of many colleges concerns. If football, and basketball, can't be played due to covid concerns, students and teachers can't be in classrooms. The financial repercussions for schools whose budgets are built around on-campus students will be VERY dire.

Everyone likes to think of their school as being in the "best college town," but true college towns (Clemson, Pullman, Starkville, Stillwater, Oxford) are going to be in a world of hurt if there are no students on campus (let alone fans in the stands) this fall.

I predict the “alternate“ season will start on November 4th. You’ll see any discussion of Corona magically disappear like a fart in the wind on that date. 💨
