:zeitung_lesen: Cummings rant yesterday shows the Democrats are hiding information that would reveal the true goings on at the IRS. That truth would reveal that Obama is using the IRS as a tool to show intimidation to opposing political groups when in fact there is none. Cummings has stood in the way of progress from the beginning to finding out what's going on by his child like screaming rants so he can share his time of making the MSNBC TV crowd. Cummings actions yesterday was so embarrassing for the nation to see how Democrats really act when they don't get their way.

The emails, obtained by the House's investigative committee, indicated that Lerner, in her official capacity, aimed to target political groups out of concern that theCitizens United*ruling would lead to more suspicious or inappropriate tax filings. The ruling*repealed*much of the*2002 Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act*and allowed individuals and political groups to contribute more to political candidates and parties.

According to Politico, many of the emails involved investigating political corporate entities and tax exempt groups. One of the emails links Lerner's work specifically to Crossroads GPS, a conservative group led by Karl Rove. In another, she lists different types of political organizations that needed to be checked for potential suspicious activity. In one bit of correspondence, Lerner argues that she felt pressure from above to target the groups. *"They want the IRS to fix the problem... Everybody is screaming at us right now," she said, according to the committee's report. It is never specified who "they" are, and Lerner did not provide any new details in today's hearing. Representatives of the IRS have defended Lerner as doing "what she was supposed to do" in targeting the groups for investigation.

Isn't Issa trying to learn, from this investigation, who the "specified they" are? I don't think he's barking up the wrong tree in trying to find the information necessary regardless of what party is involved.

Of course he is barking up the wrong tree! This is all a partisan attack on anything Obama and is without merit! A false scandal made up to keep Issa in the news!

Oh, and ignore the fact the DOJ investigation hasn't turned up anything (because the investigation hasn't moved since it's inception) and the man pulling the strings at the DOJ happens to be one of Obama's closest advisers and probably the most controversial figure in Washington. And ignore the fact that the person leading the investigation happens to be an contributor to Obama's campaign. Because the President himself said there was no corruption even before being briefed by the DOJ.

All this makes the LGs of the world sweat buckets that truth from these "scandals" will not be reveal on this sitting "first black" lame duck President who is considered a failure of great proportions in some major circles of the world.

I noticed the other day some post were gone from another thread. :hi: It was probably the right thing to do as somethings were getting nasty postings. I still got my "likes" from those that were posted though.

The press has jumped on Issa for being rude to Cummings for shutting off his mic. The real tragedy is the liberal press in our nation has refused to tell the truth & they continue to be the cheering team for every criminal action taken by this administration. Cummings did what he was put there to do. Holler & scream & act like he was looked down on & passed over. Poor little mistreated Congressman bless his heart. I think they need to kick that fool out the door & told don't come back till you grow up & show some manners too.
