But clearly someone that has money at stake believes the threats are real enough to say "no" to cover losses. Just because you are pretending there is no root cause to this, people way smarter and with way better information than Backwoods Bob are making decisions that have actual impact and tell a different story.Look clown.
The what is threats by Iran. But again I say Iran does not have the resources or ability to close the straight. If the insurers agreed to cover losses the straight would be open.

You can call me a clown all you want. I'll happily put on my face makeup right next to you and sleep just fine knowing that at least my brain has a few wrinkles in it.
Lying about what?
Nice to know they're closing it for no reason.
Definitely more insightful than a smoothbrain claim that an insurance company is out there keeping a strait closed for absolutely no reason whatsoever.

So...which part? The part where I called you a smoothbrain (objectively accurate). The part where you outright said Iran wasn't closing the strait, insurance companies were (gross and misleading simplification that sounds more like a reddit headline than anything factual) and I called you out on it? The part where I dared to say someone may have more information than you? None of those are "lies". I suggest researching what that word actually means. All posts with blatant lies.

Yes. All he does is pop in and start talking **** to posters. Makes him feel big I suppose where he’s lacking off the net.It is closed because insurers have informed their clients they will not cover losses for anyone transiting the straight. Not because Iran has the capability to actually close the straight.
Is royal azzhole your normal look?
The Straight is closed because we started a war with Iran, and regardless of what a previous poster said, Iran still has the capability of inflicting grave consequences on ships passing through there. The REASON it is closed is because there is a war going on there.New maritime insurance providers partnering with DFC have entered the market to capitalize on the earning protentional of increased rates.

Iranian leadership has zero F's to give about their own people. Who knew that before this? They don't care how much they suffer. They've also figured out they can hold the world hostage of 20% of its oil. Executives at major oil companies like Exxon and Chevron are predicting 150-160 oil by the end of July. That's about $6 at the pump here in GA. It will be a financial disaster here and around the globeI think people are wrongly considering their narrow strait to be some kind of inherit strength. If anything it’s only shown how easy the majority of their imports and exports can be shut off from the rest of the world and will lead to the world finding numerous alternatives to avoiding the strait.
If we had a similar small choke point through which the majority of our international trade occurred and could be easily blocked by another country without a single naval ship of theirs lost, we would all be losing our minds.

So now you're worried about high gas prices? Funny how libs are suddenly fiscally conservative.Iranian leadership has zero F's to give about their own people. Who knew that before this. What an absolutely lazy reply. I was not a Biden supporter. And Trump had his hand in that mess as well. I am concerned about the global economy and our economy. This has been an absolute disaster for us. All self inflicted. The only solution is a terrible one that will also wreck the world economy as Iran will blow up as much oil and gas infrastructure up over there as possible as we totally annihilate them.So now you're worried about high gas prices? Funny how libs are suddenly fiscally conservative.
