China is playing a disciplined and sound game while the US beats their chests. I didn't know if you've noticed but a lot of people are talking behind our backs.

Our constantly rotating system of government plus our tribal politics prevent the US from playing the long game. A dictatorship will always have that advantage over a democracy.

Also, our people are soft and demand instant gratification. We couldn't win a WWII today with our citizenry, if it wasn't over in 3 months we would be rioting in the streets due to rationing.

As soon as we don't need their chips anymore who cares what happens to Taiwan. It is the same as Ukraine, it is Russian. Taiwan is economically tightly connected to the Chinese. They won't ever use any of the defense equipment that they have, eventually they will willingly choose to be annexed by China. China couldn't do it by force anyway.

didn't make it to any of the camps, but I did visit the memorial in Berlin. that and all the stumbling stones around germany paints a pretty grim reminder.

I consider slave labor concentration camps abhorrent enough and we knew that the NAZIs were using them by at least the end of 1941. Hundreds of thousands were dying in those camps.
