Iran

USA Today:

"... Complicating matters is a nuclear agreement that the Obama administration, working with a handful of other nations, negotiated with Iran in 2015. Under the deal, Iran agreed not to produce highly enriched uranium or the plutonium for weapons. Trump, however, mocked the agreement as a bad deal and pulled out of it during his first term despite a consensus among nuclear-watchdog experts, such as the International Atomic Energy Agency, that it was working.

Trump’s withdrawal from that pact means “he can't accept the Obama parameters, even though probably whatever deal is going to be made is going to be probably pretty close to that,” Aftandilian said.

Even as it reviews the Trump administration’s proposal to end the war, Iran is expecting a new U.S. attack and believes it could come before the American president leaves for a summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping on May 14-15, said Seyed Mohammad Marandi, a Tehran-based, Iranian-American academic and political analyst. Marandi served as an adviser to Iran’s negotiating team during the 2015 nuclear talks and still has close ties to the Iranian government.

In fairness, it sounded really good in his head at the time.
The clown show continues.

Thankfully, Trump is a deep thinker and avoids making rash decisions.

It's all 5D chess up in here.

Kilmeade: “When are you gonna know when it’s over?”
Trump: “When I feel it. When I feel it in my bones.”

Question: Should Iran fail to respond (or respond positively) to Trump's peace proposal within the one week time frame that he allotted (May 13 deadline), will he start lobbing missiles again? And if yes, is he then legally required to go to Congress to get approval for his ongoing war?

No, he'll claim it is an entirely different action. New name, Operation Whatever.

Time has proven that the War Powers Act is unconstitutional and bogus. Why didn't Obomber go to Congress? Where in the Constitution does is mandate that the President get a formal declaration of war? Wrong again, it is like clockwork with you people. The gamblers on here need to start asking for you opinions on the outcome of games and then bet the opposite, they'd make a fortune.

Here's my political spectrum profile.

Strong progressive tilt but economic, diplomatic and social about dead-center.

You need to learn how far out in right field you really are.

Let's see yours, Bubba.

Really I don't care who the next lunatic up is, that is the Iranians problem. As long as they don't have the capability to harass and victimize the sane nations, whatever their bad intentions are matter not. Let them be all bark and no bite, who cares?
Since there was so much bite before
