What division was he in?

Technically he wasn't in any. He was in a Mobile Brigade Combat Team that was on paper never deployed overseas. I think he was listed as 278th. He went to Poland at the time of the Ukraine War began and I don't think they were supposed to be there.
It was talking to him that gave me the confidence in the U.S. capabilities. I was concerned that the Russians may move against Poland and he told me not to worry about the Russians that they were garbage, tactically and equipment wise. He said the same thing about the Chinese.

No it is your fundamental problem. When you Truth Deniers don't have an answer except talking points and hoaxes, you nitpick over meaningless details. Swallowing camels and straining at gnats.
I judge results not intentions or high ideals. This war is going amazingly and the results are great. I really don't care the reason we took care of a major problem. If they were bombing them back to the stone age because the Ayatollah was jaywalking this time, I would not care. They have been a huge issue for years, now they are not.

Frankly I don't think the occupation of Iraq was worth the cost, but Iraq needed dealt with too. The real mistake in Iraq was trying to make them a democracy, nation building. We aren't doing that in this case.
The two biggest issues in the ME in the last several decades have been Iraq and Iran. Now they are done.
