Iran

I wonder if any country, perhaps one being blockaded, is threatening those ports?

Seriously man
As you may recall, Iran was attacking SA before the blockade. The blockade does not affect SA. So, there is no reason for them to object to it. In fact, SA has been a cheerleader for us to “finish the job”.

Apparently there is a disconnect between what you think is happening and reality

"Saudi Arabia is pressing the U.S. to drop its blockade of the Strait of Hormuz"

But perhaps you know more than the WSJ

Apparently you base reality on a single data point. SA has been pressing US all along to wipe the floor with Iran. The fact that some unnamed SA “official” now wants us to stop abusing Iran is inconsistent. Everybody, including the US, wants this to end and would like to see negotiations. They will happen when Iran feels enough pressure.

UK: 6.5% muslim
France: 9% muslim
Germany: 6.5% muslim
Belgium: 6% muslim

Meanwhile you're cowering in your closet over the 1.3% of the US population that is muslim.
The population of the United States is 338 million. 1.3% of that number is 4,394,000. If only 1/2 of 1% of that number are on the harm the United States path, then that is potentially 21,970 terrorist. So yes, people have a right to be concerned based on that religions history all the way back to the seventh century.

So there are over 20,000 terrorist in this country? They must be doing a really bad job.

It’s going to play out by Iran agreeing to opening the Strait. Or, it’s going to play out by the US dropping the blockade and crippling Kharg Island. Either way Iran loses.
Or it could play out with Iran attacking oil infrastructure in KSA and other countries working with Israel and the US, among other possibilities.

How many Christians do we have to worry about?

77.3 million people voted for Trump in 2024, that's 77.3 million potential insurrectionists that could attempt to stop the peaceful transfer of power in 2028.

So yes people have a right to be concerned about the MAGA cult's religious history all the way back to 2021 when they attacked the capitol at the behest of their cheeto-jesus.

I was pointing out potential numbers based on anothers downplaying of 1.3%. 500 deciated properly equipped and trained people could cause unbelievable chaos. That is why it is totally stupid do open the doors and say come on in without any controls or vetting.

Then I saw the statement you replied to and it made more sense.
I think 40-50 million would help tear down the door to pull him out of office right now.
He's practically offended/lost the confidence of all the people I know that voted for him.

Rubio 2028 baby.

Iran wants compensation from 5 Middle East countries, says official

Iran’s representative to the United Nations has demanded compensation from countries it claims took part in the U.S. and Israeli war against Iran, the Associated Press reported Monday.
Iran’s state media said the nations include Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Jordan.
According to Iran’s official news agency, IRNA, U.N. envoy Amir-Saeid Iravani said the countries had violated international law and must “make full compensation for the damages caused to the Islamic Republic of Iran, including payment of compensation for all material and moral damages resulting from their international violations.”

Lol. They are insane.

Iran confiscated assets belonging to the captain of its national women's football team, despite guaranteeing she would not face repercussions for returning from Australia.
On March 2, the women's soccer team players had stood in silence as their national anthem played ahead of an Asia Cup fixture with South Korea.
This prompted Iranian media to brand the team "wartime traitors." One player had reportedly received a voice message from her mother warning: "Don't come [back to Iran] they'll kill you," according to GB News.
Another communication, smuggled out of Iran by a player's family, warned the squad: "You need to stay."
President Donald Trump was among world leaders who intervened, saying the players "will most likely be killed" if they went back to Iran.
Australia offered the squad asylum. Ghanbari and others sought asylum in March but later changed their minds.
When Ghanbari traveled back to Iran, state media portrayed her decision as patriotic, with Iranian authorities assuring that neither Ghanbari nor her teammates would be penalized.

They lied? No way!

Iran’s internet blackout drains up to $80 million a day, official says

Iran's internet shutdown is causing tens of millions of dollars in daily losses to the country’s economy, according to the head of the Knowledge-Based Economy Commission at Iran’s Chamber of Commerce.
Afshin Kolahi said the direct cost of internet outages is between $30 million and $40 million per day, Iran International reported.
Including indirect losses, Kolahi also said the total impact rises to roughly $70 million to $80 million daily.
He compared the scale of the losses to major infrastructure projects.
Building a bridge such as the B1 bridge, which was hit in an airstrike during the war, costs around $15 million to $20 million, he said.
Meanwhile, the cost of constructing each megawatt of power plant capacity ranges from $1 million to $3 million.
Kolahi said the economic impact of internet shutdowns is effectively equivalent to losing multiple infrastructure projects every day.
“In practice, internet shutdowns mean losing the equivalent of four B1 bridges and two medium-sized power plants every day,” he told the outlet.

Squeezing their own economy.
