Iran

I'm glad Tim is here to explain why we have such a weak president (the thinnest orange skin of all time) and vice president (10 layers of eyeliner). Sounds like it's all his generation's fault. I'm afraid we're going to have to pull his britches down and spank him.
You’d love to pull my pants down.

We have idiots negotiating because we don't actually want a diplomatic solution.

We had 100% of the leverage. All we had to do was continue to squeeze them and dictate our exit.

We decided to get impatient, run our mouth, give up our leverage and unnecessarily put ourselves in a corner. Iran called our bluff and they will end up with a far better deal than they deserve...

US still has leverage in this conflict. Impatient, yes I can see that with some of the statements and ultimatums that have been made.

We’re not in a corner. Not yet.

We committed an unforced error with all the ratcheting up the rhetoric and backing off. They called our bluff. We're not in a corner but we were in a significantly better negotiating state Saturday night than Tuesday night...

Breaking the speed limit is also “outlawed” but everyone does it.
Same with international law about not targeting infrastructure. Every nation ever involved in war targets infrastructure, especially transportation.
A law that no one follows is worse than useless.
Even more useless is a law with no body capable of enforcing it. Is The Hague going to send a cop over to arrest combatants?
Rationalizing war crimes because one's team is doing them or talking them, especially when it's clear that the same person would be screaming bloody murder were it the other team, doesn't impress.

War crimes 😂😂😂😂😂
Other team? I didn’t scream one bit when Bill Clinton destroyed the entire Serbian Power grid. Did you?

Iran will break this deal before the end of the cease-fire. SA, Qatar, UAE, Bahrain and Kuwait were on the receiving end of Iranian missile strikes after the truce was announced. Then it's back to US going on the offensive and they'll urge citizens to form human chains around targets.

No offense intended here, but I thought that was covered in my post a few before the one you replied to. We don't wage war. We wage "war".

I have long felt if there is a sufficient enough reason to go to war, then it deserves to be a 'no holds barred' effort so we can get to the end as soon as possible. Nothing since ww2 has come close to that level of sufficiency.
What did we hold back in Korea? Or in Iraq or Afghanistan?

When the other side is stockpiling weapons grade fissile material, “total” war is exactly what is called for, at least in my opinion. Especially when that opponent has been engaged in a shadow proxy was against the entire West for almost five decades.
If you are going to fight, you fight. Going into battle with one hand tied behind your back gets you a Vietnam
When you drink Kool-Aid you go all in. That ‘against the entire West’ bit is a stretch.
Going into a conflict like Vietnam is what gets you a Vietnam. What would you have suggested we do, nuke Hanoi?
