Iran didn’t think he was, they flinched. We go from the left wanting the 25th Amendment to he bailed out on bombing Iran. The space he occupies in the lefts head is remarkable and we have some here saying TDS isn’t real.

Don’t post at people repeatedly if you can’t deal with responses you don’t like.
No idea why suggesting people post as if they were face to face would cause someone to get upset. Seems like a common sense and decent way to go about.

As a sometimes sufferer of OCD; i actually have a little empathy for them. I know what it is like to have your brain lock onto something and be unable to let it go without real focused effort.

People joke about TDS; but i actually think some of its sufferiers actually do have some mental issues.

Hard to estimate. I am not as pessimistic as you on the 6 months though.

Guaranteed we will be back in it because of our relationship with Israel, our need for oil, our identity as Earth's Hall Monitor, and our custom of looking at solutions through a military lens.

Iran's 10-point deal:

1. End of conflict = great!

2. All US sanctions against Iran lifted = sanctions don't really hurt the regime, so much as they hurt the people. I'm good with this.

3. US withdraws from the Middle East = great! Greatest day in US history as long as I've been alive.

4. Iran maintains the Strait = of course. Look where it is on a map.

5. Iranian funds frozen by US government are unfrozen = it's their $ and IDC.

6. Binding UN Security Council resolution = great!

7. Iran continues with its right to enrich uranium = can we please get them to make this one concession?

8. US pays Iran reparations for war damages = morally, we probably owe it, but I don't wanna pay.

9. UN and IAEA will no longer target Iran with resolutions = I don't really know what this means.

10. Ceasefire extends to regional conflicts (Israel has to stop invading Lebanon) = great!

Trump absolutely cannot give them all this. Unfreezing the $ without getting a nuclear deal alone would be the most humiliating result possible for Trump and 30% of this message board. The optics of lifting the sanctions and paying reparations will be difficult to swallow. No way are we withdrawing from the Middle East. How are we gonna get Israel to stop being warmongers.

I get so tired of the spirituality illiterate belief that people are trying to usher in the return of Christ. God does things on HIS timetable and His alone. He isn’t sitting in heaven looking down and saying; “man but Israel is sure getting in a tough spot; I better go ahead and send my son back ahead of schedule”.

The return of Christ means death and destruction for a large part of the world and the end of God’s window for Salvation. Why in the world would anyone think we want to speed that up?
