Iran

All he’s accomplished is pushing Iran to the point where they proved that yes, they were capable of pretty much closing off the strait.

And now, they’ll make us pay to use it going forward.
Who's they? You really think they are going to have any kind of power when this is done?

Drop Site/Ryan Grim is way worse than Al Jazeera and it’s his favorite. He is in good company though, it’s Megyn Kelly’s go to source lately.

What is objectionable about Grim's post? Don't be afraid to answer.

What if he was actually listening to his military advisors? That would be some crazy ass stuff right there wouldn’t it?

Per the Wall Street Journal, Trump disregarded General Caine's warning that Iran would likely close the Strait of Hormuz in response to an American attack:

This gonna be good.

Just as a refresher for the class: You were an ardent supporter of “Butler, PA shooting was staged”, correct?

Now, tell us what really happened to the USS Ford…

Well wise one, your boy donnie said it was hit, will be out 12 to 17 months.

17 months a long time to clean up smoke damage. How much combustible material is the USS Ford built with?

Now tell us how much of the USS FORD burned.

Not my boy, but it’s cute that you would assert as much. As well as predictable.

Source that the Ford was hit by Iran?

I said a week ago that the Ford would be out for a long time. Due to multiple reasons, the fire being but one.

Try not to present as so excited over the Ford burning, and US sailors being injured. It’s unbecoming.

🐂💩. If anyone speaks up they are harassed and demonized. I have seen it. Universities make so much money from climate garbage. Try and be a professor and say you don’t believe in manmade climate change.
Even the Brits get it. Check out Gorilla Science. You won’t watch long.
Ah yes, the classic “97% agree but they’re all secretly terrified into it” theory — the largest, most coordinated scientific conspiracy in human history… somehow maintained across countries, languages, rival institutions, and decades with zero credible leaks. Impressive.

Also interesting that this alleged intimidation only seems to silence climate scientists, but not the thousands of contrarian voices with books, interviews, YouTube channels, and think tank funding. Must be the world’s least effective censorship campaign.

As for “universities making money from climate garbage”, if you’ve ever seen a research grant, you’d know scientists aren’t exactly swimming in gold coins like Scrooge McDuck. If anything, disagreeing loudly is usually the faster path to attention, funding and media spots.

And “Gorilla Science”? If a YouTube video outweighs decades of peer reviewed research then I guess my next doctor’s visit should just be replaced with a TikTok scroll.

I’ll stick with the evidence-based consensus... but I appreciate the conspiracy pitch... it was entertaining.

Unbecoming is asserting I would be happy sailors were injured, ad a retired Navy Corpsman that offends me.

Donnie Trump is the source, but maybe he doesn't know.

I believe you said fire in laundry room and smoke damage to living qtrs. Which if you have ever been assigned to a Navy ship, you would know is BS

Iran's actions in the Strait are a very predictable result of Israel's attack on them. Without that there would be no blockage and no shortages..

Iranians have agency. No one forced this.

If the roles were reversed the same people blaming the US in this thread would still blame the US

We even have people blaming the US for unpredictable results such as attacks on countries without US presence by Iran

We knew they would try to shut it down if they were attacked. Everybody knew. It's one of the few ways they can punch back. Sure Iran has responsibility but so do we and Israel.

The Yemen Houthis entering the war on Iran's side could complicate the oil transport situation even more now. About 6-10% of the world's production is shipped through the strait of Bab al-Mandeb. Europe is warning oil shipping firms not to go into these waters.

Most of the oil that is shipped through this strait ultimately goes to Europe and to a lesser degree the United States.

TACO time or does Trump put boots on the ground? $8-$10 gas may be on the horizon if the latter.

"Political leaders may have the power to start wars, but they can’t control how those wars unfold or end."

'Avoid Yemeni waters at all times,' warns EU maritime security

The European Union's maritime security body warns ships to avoid entering Yemeni territorial waters as the Iran-backed Houthis could resume "attacks on merchant ships", particularly in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.

This comes after the Houthi rebel group fired missiles at Israel on Saturday and vowed to carry out more attacks.

The Houthis, who hold sway in north west Yemen, have so far not wielded their most potent weapon – their ability to disrupt traffic through Bab al-Mandeb, the maritime chokepoint linking the Red Sea to global trade routes, writes our chief international correspondent Lyse Doucet.

The European Union Naval Force Aspides mission adds that merchant ships linked to the US or Israel should avoid the Yemeni waters until "the threat becomes less pressing".

The report, published on Saturday, rates the threat level as "high" for vessels affiliated with Israeli interests. There is a "medium" threat level for vessels "not linked to Israel or the United States".

We killed 130 school girls. That's a fact. Now i saw a ton of porpoganda on here, from this administration, and from US "news" people that it was Iran blowing up their own school. Oops. But please continue to criticize someone posting AlJazeera. FFS.
AlJazeera is straight propaganda. Anyone believing anything they say is a moron.

Where is the evidence?
