I’ll admit I’ve hated Iran since the 70’s. I think they’re dangerous. I think they’re philosophically F’ed in the head and I think they deserve what they’re getting right now.

I’m still torn….i like the idea of minding our own business, but at the same time, that regime has poked us over and over.

I’m thinking the US will strike hard, fast and surgically…. I think synchronized assassinations will happen too. Maybe something like this will be all the Iranian people will need to overthrow the regime afterwards.

I’m not happy about it either, but the job needs to be finished now that it’s started.

Sure…. I don’t know if it was the right move or not. I’m not included in the intelligence info and etc….. it could be legit or it could be total BS. Who knows?
I believe the Iranian regime are some problematic extremist supporters of terrorism that constantly stir all over the Middle East. I think it’s reasonable to believe the world is a safer place without their having nuclear weapons.
I also think if ground troops are sent in, Israel should do the heavy lifting. It’s their cities that are being bombed and it was their citizens that were attacked on 10/7.
They’ll have full support of their citizens and IMO more likely to do the dirty work required to pound Iran into submission. Let the US offer air support and weaponry.
I’m torn over the situation because no one wants to see boots on the ground, but
I’ve hated Iran since I was a kid so maybe I’m biased. If so, it has nothing to do with Trump and more to do with the conversations I’ve had over the years with Persian people.
I think the USA has been incredibly patient regarding the things they’ve done to poke us.

For engineering at the time maybe. As you say, it was way over engineered. When compared to even something like the F14, it comes up lacking. Compared to the fighter world, more akin to the F4 maybe. The F4 was before my time in that world so could be wrong but calling it an engineering feat is a little much.
