You know some of the things I’ve been through. My oldest son told me something that he did as a kid and was ashamed of. I gotta say that I was thinking “wow that’s not that big a deal “. But it was traumatic for him. I can’t imagine belittling him or his feelings because it was traumatic for him and you never know what other traumas it might be connected to.

So how does this work...

Trump says the war is almost over, while Iran says mkay well we're still blockading the Strait of Hormuz.

These two conditions cannot coexist.

If we end our war on Iran now, then 20% of the world's oil flow remains at a standstill. This would have a tremendous effect on the world economy and likely spin us into a recession... shortly before midterm elections.

Alternatively, we can continue our war on Iran until the Strait of Hormuz is safe once again. This is a very dangerous proposition for our Navy and a huge challenge to simply bomb our way to victory.

So, in reality, due to Trump's inability to foresee beyond even one move on this chess board, our options and ability to extract ourself from this war are already highly constrained.

In sum, we've created our own tar baby that will keep us stuck in this war for now, haven't we?

Iran has been jamming that signal, which would seem to indicate it's actually being transmitted by someone hostile to Iran's interests. The internet and most telecommunications are still blacked out there. It's a numbers station that anyone with a shortwave radio can pick up.

My point was that their intergovernmental communications are probably completely compromised. It's how the Israelis have been able to assassinate so many of their leaders over the last few years.
