Not sure how it ends, but it will begin with a blood bath at the midterms. So how does this work...
Trump says the war is almost over, while Iran says mkay well we're still blockading the Strait of Hormuz.
These two conditions cannot coexist.
If we end our war on Iran now, then 20% of the world's oil stops flowing. This would have a tremendous effect on the world economy and likely spin us into a recession... shortly before midterm elections.
Alternatively, we are effectively "trapped" to continue our war on Iran until the Strait of Hormuz is safe once again.
So, in reality, what have we really "won" so far, and how does this war end?

If we end our war on Iran now, then 20% of the world's oil flow remains at a standstill. This would have a tremendous effect on the world economy and likely spin us into a recession... shortly before midterm elections.
Alternatively, we can continue our war on Iran until the Strait of Hormuz is safe once again. This is a very dangerous proposition for our Navy and a huge challenge to simply bomb our way to victory.
So, in reality, due to Trump's inability to foresee beyond even one move on this chess board, our options and ability to extract ourself from this war are already highly constrained.
In sum, we've created our own tar baby that will keep us stuck in this war for now, haven't we?
Iran hasn’t fully sealed the strait with mines or a formal blockade, but their threats and fighting have made oil shipping through the Strait of Hormuz largely halt for now.The answer here seems simple. Iran is not blockading anything.
That’s rich. Kind of like we didn’t lose a single man on D-Day until we actually stormed the beach. It’s not that dangerous of a proposition. Have we lost a single naval asset so far?

Do you deny that oil transportation has come to a virtual standstill in Hormuz?

Sadly it's looking more and more like we hit the girls school intentionally due to outdated targeting info. It took a missile almost square in the center of it.
"What if we sent a dud..Iran captured it, rehabbed it, relaunched it, and its guidance system failed and hit the school. That's most likely what happened". -TrumpSeems like a poor way to phrase that. It would be like claiming someone intentionally shot their hunting buddy after mistaking them for a deer.
Was the shot intentional? Yes. Did they intentionally kill school kids? No.
