Vietnam ended in the 70’s. Today you have B-52’s, B-1’s, and B-2’s dropping precision JDAMs from outside of harm’s way. Congrats on fighting a 50 year old war?

It's something that started earlier than you say, and it ebbed and flowed. Lincoln was out of control. So was Teddy Roosevelt. So was Wilson, So was FDR. It's not linear. The next guy is not likely to match Trump. Most likely, we will chill out. Don't just throw your hands up and say, "It was great while it lasted, and now I'll just hope for a hard reset that goes OK."

If we can bring ourselves to vote for decent people next election who set a better precedent going forward, we may be able to kick this can down the road to a generation that can actually solve it, instead of handing dynamite with seconds of fuse left off to our kids.

Did I claim an apartment complex was a legitimate military target? Did I claim we haven't done anything illegal? The point of the discussion was around CIC orders to blow **** up, engage in military actions, or even fight what we would all consider war if he doesn't have congressional approval

The us govt and cic claimed it was a legit military target. Is it possible that was an illegal order and this you shouldn't just do what the cic tells you to (as you posted)?

Those are not all tankers. Some have been container ships. Regardless, most if not all ships have decided against traversing the straits until the US military escorts. I think there's work to be done along the coast before they'll do that but it will happen.

Edit: And the Iranians also claimed they destroyed the USS Ford using footage from a video games as evidence.

She carried a few dozen Tomahawks. I’m talking about 120+ missiles.

Yes. Violent, destructive saturation of a “grid” or “zone”. But you’re not gonna target anything specific with those guns.

And you have to be inside of 20 miles for the guns to reach.

I love the Iowa. She was a bad bitch in her day. But those days are gone.
Unless you upfit her with a boatload of missiles.
