It's in the Mediterranean, because we already have the Abe Lincoln off the coast of Oman. Typical you don't want two carrier groups operating that close together.

The reason the Ford was sent there has nothing to do with being the newest, biggest etc.. It's because other than the Lincoln it's the only carrier currently deployed. The George Washington is foreword deployed/stationed to Yokosuka, Japan.

Everything other carrier is undergoing maintenance, the Nimitz will begin decommission next month.

That's a very near sighted view there. Islam is at war with EVERY other religion on earth. The radicals are focused on forcing Islam on everyone in the entire world. Take Israel out of the picture and absolutely nothing will change.

The Islamic republic is a paper tiger when it actually comes to destroying the US like they threaten but they are fortified in power

Iran will use this as Khamenei being martyred and the next guy will be more hard-lined and more of a fundamentalist

Strategically stupid. As well as technically wrong - US Carries (e.g., Ford) do not intercept missiles in defense of other targets.

Aegis equipped Cruisers & Destroyers fulfill that mission.

Reality doesn't support your rationale. Google's AI literally says the reason its stationed where its stationed is to protect Israel because of its sophisticated anti-missile system. Whether you like it or not our Epstein controlled government is prioritizing protecting Israeli lives over our American servicemen stationed in the Middle East.

So why did this nutjob decide to attack us today after we started a war with another Muslim country yesterday. Why not attack us last week if he's just interested in forcing Islam down our throats?

You can't divorce our actions in the Middle East from how they people behave. It might not be the only cause but it definitely contributes. Otherwise why isn't Canada being attacked right now by Muslims? Or practically any other non-Islamic country? Why is it America getting attacked one day after we provoke an unnecessary war with a Muslim country that didn't attack us first?
