The only way you can effect regime change through air strikes is having help on the ground.

From the graphic I shared, you could delete the blue part and you could say "regime change" has occurred. True regime change I really do think would necessitate help on the ground. If we do start going to town striking the crap out of Iran, I hope the Iranian people seize the opportunity.

Watch the The Pacific on HBO. It paints an Absolutely brutal picture of that theater of battle. Neither one really sounds like a picnic, but I probably would’ve been suited for Europe than the hellscape of fighting in that island jungle warfare in the extreme heat and tactics that the Japanese used

Indonesia is internal, mainly political instability. There are a number of articles I remember seeing late last year.

PNG is much the same, but internal tribal clashes since 2024.
