Iran

It's just regime elimination. If another regime takes power that has no connection to the bombs stopped that remove the current regime.

4D chess

I dont want us to do anything in Iran...not opposed to sending food and water to the civilians though if the UN and Europe are gonna just sit on their hands.

That said...there's a difference to me between a night of airstrikes on key military/government positions to help the civilians win this battle , as opposed to sending our military in with even limited boots on the ground and an embargo while we make sure they have a fair democratic election to choose their new government. Totally different levels of interference, responsibility, danger to US service members, and a huge difference in cost to taxpayers. So while dude looked like an idiot playing semantics, there is a big difference between what may happen from US forces in Iran and the situation in Venzuela IMO.

They're reinstituting the monarchy not setting up a democracy. When that fails then what do we do? What do we do if a dying regime decides to retaliate and hit us troops on their way out? It's all risk with almost no reward.

Given the history of us foreign policy we can almost guarantee this will be a complete failure within a decade

Offhand, do you have any idea if the monarchy leans theocratic or secular?

The monarchy is viewed as a bridge to something permanent. Even Pahlavi doesn’t expect to rule as a monarch except possibly like a British monarch.

If a photo isn't evidence, what is? This isn't a court of law, I have already provided tons of stuff. You are acting like a mental patient.

Clinton Email on Saudi Arabia's Support of ISIS Deeply Troubling
The e-mails are freely available for anyone to view.

Donald Trump calls Obama the 'founder of Isis'
>>>>He was right<<<<

😂

ISIS is the unoffical mascot of Saudi Arabia, its not going to be on a brochure for obvious reasons. Saudi and Israel are enemies of Iran.

You claimed the US was funding ISIS. Your only evidence of that is an email where Clinton wants to put pressure on the Saudi’s to not fund them?

You’re not making much sense here

Your photo in no way showed anything were claiming

Stay out of Iran. If those people want to slit each other's throats, let hem. But if our Orange buffoon puts American troops on the ground there, he seals his own and the troops' fate. We already know that Islamic populations swiftly turn against Americans, because of underlying hatred, not without cause, as we meddle too much in others affairs. Just look at Iraq, Afghanistan, the simmering resent of Turkey, and Greece. USA citizens are sick and tired of unending wars that don't result in a permanent resolution. Iran? Stay out, best and fastest way to do it is get rid of the orange, lying, profit mongering buffoon.

The “boots on the ground” counter argument is such a joke. We can do plenty without boots on the ground

I'm wondering, to those against any US military action in Iran, is there any level of human deaths that would justify it in your mind?

I'm not advocating for anything, I'm just curious if there is a some sort of death toll that you dem would warrant US involvement. I really am on the fence about it. I have an idea as to what I would do but I'm not sure.

if somehow we could get 50K-100K firearms to them, I think they could roll the regime.

maybe only few thousand in Tehran

No. No level of human deaths which would justify US military action in Iran. I would support selling weapons and providing other aid (as long as they compensate). But would not want to be involved even if 3 billion Europeans died as a result of the conflict.

for me I don't think there is a number.

1. because I am heartless jackarse, who doesn't think we should be involved with anything.
2. I think it will be better for the people of Iran, if this is all internal driven with no real outside influence trying to push them a certain way because....
3. Our very recent history with regime changes in their two neighbors. Who knew that removing Sadam would create ISIS and an unstable region? who knew that we would spend 20 years, multiple trillions of dollars, and thousands of lives replacing Al Qaeda in Afghanistan with....Al Qaeda.

All valid points.

I would add, I don't think there is anyway they are successful without outside help.

I'm coming around to outside help in the form of crushing sanctions on the regime and anyone doing business with them.
I mean, it's hard for me to sit by and watch potentially millions of people get slaughtered. On the other hand, I hate the thought of US involvement. I'm truly torn. My first instinct is to let the Mullahs know we know where they are and we are fully prepared to launch cruise missiles through their windows. I know there could be repercussions. If there is a way to get the resistance arms, that would be the best bet. I think just small arms in quantity would be a start.
