No one disagrees with that. It's a question of how we prevent it. I am personally very torn. On the one hand I am of course concerned that it will broaden the war and result in retaliation here and over there. On the other the notion of a nuclear Iran is off the charts horrible.

Whats really hard is trying to hit the cruise missiles that travel at mach5+ at low altitudes with variable flight paths...like China has developed with the purpose of sinking our ships and carriers. They are allegedly a decade ahead of us in their missile development currently and in all of our simulated attempts to keep them from taking Taiwan or HK, we take massive losses in our carrier battle groups including multiple carriers. I probably should have said "destroyed" carriers and not "sunk". The last time we tried to sink one of our own carriers...intentionally...it took days and sustained dozens of torpedoes, bombs, naval gun rounds etc because they are so compartmentalized that it turns out they are extremely hard to actually sink. Much harder even than we had expected. That doesnt mean they are difficult to render completely inoperable though and kill thousands of men and destroy billions of dollars worth of ships and aircraft etc. With the amount of ordinance, aircraft, jet fuel, and a nuclear reactor on board I would think they are extremely vulnerable to strikes from cruise missiles. Just disabling the elevator that raises aircraft to the launch deck would make one basically worthless. Same effect if the flight deck is damaged so aircraft cannot take off or land. Our carriers are much faster and more maneuverable than one would think though...able to travel at close to 40 knots with a normal cruising speed of 30+ knots. They are actually faster than the smaller ships that make up a battle group. Hell I can waterski barefoot at 40 knots which is over 45mph.

Seems like those B2s are gonna be dropping the ordinance on their mountain facility. Which was built specifically deeper underground than the stated depth our ordinance can penetrate. Those articles have been out for years. Not sure how much that matters if we hit it repeatedly in the same crater though...or if the publicly available info regarding our ordinance is accurate. I am confident in our ability to destroy the site though. Israel will likely keep bombing the area until it is unsalvageable as well.

It's theater, just like moving the Doomsday Jet to DC and it showing up on Flightaware with flight path and all. That jet is designed to fly unseen if they wish...... they didn't wish.

B2s fly around without making a show all the time. It's nice to make a show now and then but it's intentional.

I think the issue is with the term non-compliant. I’m probably being too general. But they’re saying this specific form of non compliance hasn’t occurred in nearly 20 years

Like I said this isn’t new, hell this information was all already public and well known. Why wait 6 years to do something about it? Why 6 years to release a report about information that was already known?

No. Not at all.

I'd say odds are good that he busts Fordow and maybe another site or two with the emphasis on getting as many centrifuges offline as possible with as few bombs as possible. Bang for your buck, as it were.

If I were a betting Iranian, I'd get my butt away from the nuclear sites.
