Iran

But they don't need to be. What was the last time we needed to be good at war or the usa would fall? 1812?

The us being dragged into a war with Iran based in the same 30yr drum beat is senseless. It's idiotic. And its being led by a man who called out how predecessor for being so bad at negotiating that bombs were necessary
Um I’m pretty sure the reason for that is the fact we are good at war, defense, and intelligence.

Iran is not the same as Afghanistan or Iraq. Nation building is what took us so long. Along with poppy fields, oil fields dah dah dah. There’s won’t be boots on the ground. No nation building. Just assisting in taking out Fordow

I appear to have broken Bitchplease
Can someone translate this please.

Edit: the edited version seems a little less broken.
But I gotta respect your various subject shifts in an attempt to make me angry. It brought some joy to my lunch break.

I’ll leave you alone so you can calm down now.
I'm calm enough- you're the one that hopped in, and still didn't answer what I asked. I admire trying to call in backup- it's like watching a third grader flail about.

So you did not post any of what I said?

Claimed dyslexia is probably the least of your concerns- you may want to be checked for memory loss or further brain damage. But again, you aren't going to be spending any blood or toil for your beloved Israel, so **** everybody that's younger and will bear the burden, right?
I enjoyed posting in this thread the last several days. A lot of decent back and forth discussion and everything flowed real nice. And I got to say Butch, you have come in here and bullied and name called so many people and that’s killed the vibe. Seems like a lot of people have left and I don’t blame them, I feel the same way. Maybe try to be a little more considerate.

C-SPAN cameras have made a lot of what goes on in Congress performative. And social media threw gas on the fire.
I agree. And I'm not sure what to do about that, because I think the creation of C-SPAN actually was well-intentioned and more exposure to what goes on on Capitol Hill isn't bad.

We're really only good at blowing things up. Our intelligence and foreign policy is horrendous. We're currently at the mercy of Israel and the MIC

I would argue our actual intelligence apparatus is good to very good. It's what happens once the info is passed onto our officers and politicized after the fact.

I didn't realize that "Osama" was a country unto himself with his own nuclear facilities and scientists.
The point is humans generally agree that people who shouldn't be trusted with nukes won't be allowed to BUY or DEVELOP nukes. It's to no one sane's advantage to let every nation who CAN develop a nuke do so nor every terrorist who CAN afford one get one.

These things are policed. There's an understanding among the sane: don't let the crazy people have crazy powerful weapons that can off all of humanity.

I AM surprised we don't see more terror attacks with gas and bio weapons. Easier to make, harder to police, etc. I'm extraordinarily surprised no domestic terrorist has tried to dose a DC building water supply with LSD or worse.

Intelligence, is absolutely not horrendous.. I’d be curious on what makes you say this.
Foreign policy, yes it is.

If Iran was desperate would a dirty bomb be a possible okay. I know they've made some pretty bold threats. Just winding if this could be something they had up their sleeve.

Yall need to stop this Bull **** “Christian in Gaza” crap.
I’ve been there. I’ve help believers hiding in Gaza escape the place. There are less than 1000 “Christians” in Gaza and all affirm that Mohammad is the superior prophet (or they die)
Name any “Christian “ denomination that does that.

There are no Christians in Gaza.
The below is the first message I believe I received from OrangeSlice on the issue. You followed with comments about "antisemites being out in force" or something. I don't suffer low-effort, un-researched boomerism politely- sorry. Pardon me if being called a "dumbass" by a "man" that can't even spell and tries to flex language skills (weird, but whatever) is something I find absolutely hilarious and way too easy to pick at.

I have a problem with America wasting people, money, and resources overseas. When I'm told that's a "********" opinion, and that I haven't done my own research, yes, this is all offensive. When I point out my issues within the church, being lectured at by someone that's not even part of the church speaking on behalf of it who doesn't bother coming into the discussion in good faith and manages to pretty much only throw around the word "dogma" (which he can't even define) while simultaneously re-interpreting a very clear piece of scripture is, yes, offensive.

The overwhelming majority of the posters on this board have already passed the age where they will have to deal with the fallout of this conflict. I have grown up dealing with the fallout of two prolonged wars in the ME and Central Asia, and countless covert wars we don't know about around the rest of the world. Pardon me if I'm salty about it and don't want another one. Pardon me again if I don't want to waste a single penny that could be better used by myself, my family, my colleagues and friends at home. I won't apologize, because wanting to rush headlong into war and combat is, above all, STUPID.

That happened in a completely different thread

Foreign policy, yes it is.
A pretty relevant example is that Iran has been months away from a nuke for 30yrs.

What had intelligence given that makes you think they're useful? Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Libya, etc?

Good thing you know exactly how it's going to play out. I was worried there for a minute.

Israel largely exists due to the benevolence of the American government and taxpayers, yet if I take issue with the fact that my unwilling "investment" is being abused by their (literally on trial for) corrupt government I am an anti-semite. It's quite a leap.

More so because you believe long debunked antisemitic conspiracy theories about the Jews and 9-11.

Or because you claim you’ve known numerous Palestinians but somehow only one Jewish person and they were guilty of embezzlement and you thought it was important to tell use that

Yes I fail to see what Christian’s in Gaza have to do with the US possibly joining military actions in Iran
It has to do with the general tone taken towards me immediately from a guy who will back Israel with no thought, and me being told I'm hostile.

The actions of Israel around the world are for Israeli dominance. It's like establishing character in a trial.

Our current leadership of our intelligence agencies is horrible but our intelligence apparatus is elite
To be honest, DOGE took an axe to domestic and international intelligence organizations. Whether those cuts were severe or attrition or administrative dead weight or whatever is difficult for an outsider to know, as it should be.

One thing I do know, ketamine is a helluva drug.
