No sh*t, and like I said, they're using the same playbook of fear as Iraq. You then get people like old VolsDeep (in his bunghole, probably) coming in without having done any research at all trying to play the gotcha-game and that's how we end up with a small subset of Americans excusing this ******** and apparently providing our lying president(s) the political capital to drag us into combat.

Making the $ into a negative light is saying “wait till you start doing the math on missiles”. Who cares. It’s saving lives. Odds are you don’t pay a .00000001% of the tax dollars in total for our country.
there’s nothing you or I can do about it on a VN forum or elsewhere. Why do you get so bent out of shape about something you don’t control?

Iran has been killing Americans since we were in Afghanistan. We saw Iranian drones used against us. Also, funding groups to attack and kill us as well.

No troops on ground I agree. But Iran cannot have a nuke. Been that way long before Orangeman.

Osama couldn't get a nuke with a ton of money and connections in Pakistan.

Humanity collectively knows you don't let random people or countries who might actually use nuclear weapons possess nuclear weapons. That's a one way ticket to extinction for the human race.

The most dangerously volatile nuclear country, North Korea, almost certainly has Chinese eyes either on the ground or via satellite on every warhead. China is a damn old culture and they're not looking to let some dimwitted Korean manboy wipe out the world.

Rogue countries like Iran who might actually sell a device to people like Bin Laden cannot be tolerated with nuclear warheads and won't be.

The US, Russia, and China agree on almost nothing but they agree about nuclear responsibility. I trust Putin and Xi about nothing except I trust them to work with us to keep nuclear capability in the hands of sane humans.

That depends on alot of factors. I think US navy could wreck China's navy but USA has very little ability to actually perform a land invasion of China without help.

USA always has a disadvantage in war based on the fact that USA citizenry will only stomach so much while Chinese government can force their people to fight to very last man. Therefore a protracted war favors China.

Key word: protracted.

Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth. No one punches people in the mouth like United States air power.

When the Chinese people are watching their neighbors get shredded by A10s bbbbbbppppptttt every time they step outside to pee, much less shoot someone, a land invasion becomes much easier.

The only problem is where to put several billion surrendering POWs.

Two things:

1) Israeli operations against Iran must begin to wrap up soon. The longer the strikes happen and the more people are killed the less support nationally, but most importantly regionally, they will have. And it could turn sour very fast.

2) Trump's rhetoric isn't helping. It's now very much about the US, that wouldn't be as much of a problem for us had Trump worked behind the scenes instead of publicly.

You can - never suggested otherwise.

If someone's opinions always line up with what is good for them (either by remaining unchanged for a long time, or changing frequently when circumstances change), then that is reason for suspicion.

But they don't need to be. What was the last time we needed to be good at war or the usa would fall? 1812?

The us being dragged into a war with Iran based in the same 30yr drum beat is senseless. It's idiotic. And its being led by a man who called out how predecessor for being so bad at negotiating that bombs were necessary
