Iran

That's repression. It's certainly an atrocity but it's not terrorism.
Your comment sounds like 'who needs real information when we have feels and scuttlebutt'. There's been an awful lot of terrorism around the world in the last hundred years from the Zionists in Palestine to the shootings at Bondi, sponsored and perpetrated by a wide variety of actors. What is the possible downside to confirming the main culprits using information and analysis?

In what way(s) do you think the Iranian regime is nuts? I see them as evil, holding power at all costs, but I also see them as rational.
Yep, them and Hitler have/had about the same rationality.

I wondered what Fox News person said this to have multiple posters repeat it almost word for word, and it turns out they are literally regurgitating Trump's own words. Pathetic
I wonder how you look at something so successful and determine that it’s a failure. I realize I’m debating a NYC liberal who is probably a socialist but even your hero’s loved a good ass whipping. Sad to see Americans who are determined to root for what our forefathers fought for to fail. Un American-Jane Fonda stuff.

Perhaps if he did not attempt to dissolve congress and steal British assets there would have been no need for such actions.

Either way over two decades later, they chose the ayatollah. We don’t pick him for them. Our biggest sin there was not being more proactive like we were in 1953 and allowing the ayatollah to take control.

The west built middle eastern wealth and then foolishly allowed it to be nationalized and controlled by dictators across the region.
We were fighting communism then and now.
We have been the world's police for over 80 years. World is much better with us in this role and not Russia and/or China.
In 1945 there were around 10 countries that were democracies - today around 100.
The libertarian non-aggression principle does not work when taken off the white board and into the actual world.

We were fighting communism by boosting the Shah in 53?

What does it matter? We're discussing specifically Iran.
Trying to fully figure out your thought process. Killing tens of thousands of your own citizens is “repression”. In democracies we consider that genocide. Repression is something like a poll tax or something A LOT less evil and crazy than mowing down your own people who disagree with you.

That’s why it matters.

No other media outlets are reporting this currently. Maybe they're verifying for a change before publishing.

US officials are denying at this time and I find it difficult to believe they'd unfreeze these assets at this stage of the ceasefire.

Not a good look for this administration and certainly does not contribute to regime change if true.

Edit: Reuters has posted a similar statement citing a "senior Iranian" source. Not quite trustworthy at this point.

Yes, huge success. Greatest success in history bigly, no one's ever seen anything like it. They told you "sir, this is an even bigger success than your last success." The slurping makes a lot more sense now that we noticed you're essentially parroting Trump himself, thank you for clarifying

Point proven. You’re not a genuine person.

Yes it did. The shah implemented many of the same policies during the white revolution, the difference is he let the west have oil.
Again not everything. That was at the height of the Cold War with the Soviet Union. Mosaddegh and his party were getting closer to Moscow and we were not going to allow that to happen under any circumstances.

No we don't consider that genocide. It's repression and mass murder but it's not genocide.
That’s why it matters.
You didn't show a connection so it still doesn't matter.
