So let’s just say it’s true and there’s a joint venture to charge tolls and we’re in charge of it.
Isn’t the carrot/reward system a better approach than the stick/punishment system?

Seems to me the carrot system keeps our boots off the ground over there and the stick resulting in regime change never seems to work anyway

Their Navy and Air Force was never a threat to begin with. They don’t need an air force to bomb other countries. That’s why they’ve stocked up on ballistic missiles and drones for the past decades, in which many are still intact and difficult to destroy due to being underground per our own intelligence. They do not need a navy to create a chokehold on the global economy as they’ve shown. Their leaders being killed? Well they’ll get new ones. Theocratic regimes are built on ideology, not dependence on a handful of leaders. They’ve never had legitimate air defense dating back to last year, and that has not made an influence in their ability to project power clearly.

As long as they have the ability to hold the global economy hostage through the straight of Hormuz and cause destruction to key economic energy infrastructure on our gulf allies with their ballistic missiles and drones, they are still a threat. This doesn’t even begin to acknowledge that we haven’t even addressed their uranium stockpiles and potential to still build a nuclear weapon, which of course would be catastrophic to Israel going forward in terms of regional influence. Hence why Israel in no circumstance is going to want to end this war.

By your logic we really kicked ass in Vietnam.

I'm not in favor of increased taxes, increased spending, bigger govt, more foreign wars, protecting pedos, etc. Not a single one of those can be sold as Americans first. I'm not on favor of clowns running the executive branch and an embarrassing POTUS who tweets like a HS freshman girl loaded on caffeine.

This is simply not our war. We need to stand for ourselves and make that known

So when Trump said the 10-point plan was workable, and when he reposted Iran saying we accepted the general framework of it, he was just lying? Not surprising

Carrot vs stick is interesting. You might get better behavior out of them but at what cost.

If this JV went through, we ultimately end up paying for it in the end with higher energy costs. What happens when other countries try to do the same thing. Its a tightrope to make it worth Iran's while to act right but not enough where it creates inflation and other unintended consequences...

Not really. They didn't have much of a traditional AF or navy. We haven't done much to their missile and drone capabilities. Not really the complete victory you would expect from a country spending more on war than the entire rest of the world combined

This is quite a hole we dug for ourselves. Not a lot of great alternatives.

We are not willing to hit infrastructure. We’re not winning a war unless we do. Since we’re not willing to do what is required to win, then we probably shouldn’t have started it
