Iran

Did you even know who Bret Stephens was before you posted an op-ed as evidence of US success in Iran?
I sure do. Are we going to play 20 questions here or are you going to make a point on which we can have a level headed conversation? Unless it's the latter, I'm not interested

Brett stated many facts in his column. Do you dispute any of them? Let's start here: Did you even read this column? I'm guessing no. Am I right?

what different topic?

what started this whole conversation was me pointing out the similarities in us taking out Irans nukes last year, and needing to follow up again this year with even more attacks.

I don't see what you think attacking their conventional weapon infrastructure would settle anything in the long term? if they were able to rebuild their nuclear capacity, they will rebuild their conventional systems even faster.

A large part of this is that they stop their nuclear program entirely. I don’t see how you’re missing that

Let Israel fight this war. They have actual reason on their side since Iran funds all the terrorist groups that routinely strike at them.
They strike us too. Iran has killed more Americans than Israelis. We have vital interests in that region. If Israel didn't exist the U.S. would still have to deal with them.

Regarding the Brett Stephens op-ed that I posted earlier...notice how the left here has a hard time not with what Mr Stephens said but with the fact that he's conservative. Why is that a problem for the left in America today? Why don't they think conservatives can have a voice and state conservative opinions? In the big picture, that's a real problem I have with the left. They're not interested in all views being stated

Personally I love it when AOC or Elizabeth Warren write a column. I attack their words and what they say. It's really quite easy. I don't make a post that states that they're liberal and then go away and hide. That'd be pointless on my part

Incredible, not something anyone would have expected to happen in 2026.

Uganda’s military chief Muhoozi Kainerugaba says the Iran war must end, but warns Uganda will intervene if Israel faces defeat.

He emphasized Uganda would fight “on the side of Israel” if its survival is threatened, and recently reaffirmed ties by honoring Yoni Netanyahu, the Israeli hero of the Entebbe rescue.

Ain't that the truth. The Doomers and the "I hate America" crowd must really be enjoying all the support we are getting from counties that at best didn't like the U.S., and some outright hate us. Historic times for sure.

Oh I stopped reading after the second paragraph where he tried to use the inflation-adjusted average price of crude being $95 as to why we shouldn't care that oil was trading at $60 a barrel before Trump and Netanyahu decided that a new war in the Middle-East is good again.

It's to be expected that the former editor of the Jerusalem Post, current editor of Sapir, and self-described "proud Zionist", is going to use whatever platform he has access to to further Israeli national interests.

Approves.

"The left" is interesting to say when Trump does this every single time he is asked a tough question. "Well you're from ABC, very bad reporter, blah blah blah"

Why point out that Stephens is conservative and supports Israel's right to exist? I'm puzzled as to why that's worthy of a stand alone post

What? Anyone surprised Uganda would back Israel doesn’t pay attention. They’re one of the most openly pro Israel countries. Israel trained their military in the 60’s then under new leader relations got bad but then were restored in the 80’s and been great ever since

And anyone surprised by other surrounding countries condemning Iran is dumb. Gulf states have hated the Islamic Republic for a long time

Op-ed in NY Times:

The War Is Going Better Than You Think

The New York Times? Who is going to trust this biased paper that is always carrying water for Trump.
Seriously, I was thinking about a week ago what would my Grandfather who fought in the 1st Division in WWII think about all this? He saw scores of men slaughter and maimed. And now we have the Doomers and the Hate America First crowd peddling all this crap. We are living in historic times.

I really don't know but this guy I know who is a manager at Google in Bridgeport and he told me that when Obomber was president the price of oil was over $100 a barrel for 3 years. Under Autopen it was over $100 a barrel for months.

I’m not really sure how you’re missing this. The statement was that Iran “could” have a weapon in 15 days. You’re intentionally misrepresenting that as Iran “would”.

It would be like if Trump said “we could take Cuba tonight if we wanted” and then you wake up in the morning and claim “TACO! He lies about everything!”
Good lord this is one of your more disingenuous pedantic rope a dope attempts. Could would both imply the means to do it which Trump claimed last year was taken away. You’re the one struggling here not louder.

I do. He is a rino and considered as a conservative at the NYT, which means he's one of few staff that isn't transitioning gender. He hates Trump, think Morning Joe.
By the way I agree with you Bearded Clam. I watched the news last night and we are losing this war. In fact, we are getting our azzes handed to us.

Lol, I don't think you do, but you not doing a 5 second google search before you post, is nothing new here.
