Exactly. Iran is lead by an apocalyptic, homicidal death cult. They have been really good about self preservation until now. I think it's all because they think they almost have their pieces in place. Chaos has to reign before the 12th Imam comes back you see (
according to them). I feel bad for the Iranian people, the Persians. I know some of them. Great folks. They should have butchered their leadership long ago.

Unfortunately nothing unites a country under bad leadership more than war and a common enemy.

Unfortunately nothing unites a country under bad leadership more than war and a common enemy.

This is true, and it will rally some. But that country is fragmented. Many hate this regime others love it. There are good people in Iran, rich country with cultural history, and I wish those citizens well.

I hope anyone you may have there are safe. I've seen you on this site for many years.

I’m obviously biased but it’s absolutely ridiculous that we might get dragged into a war when we’re already in a fiscal crisis. I can’t fathom a more unilateral “alliance”. This is 10x worse than Iraq.

If you can possibly achieve at least some of your objectives peacefully, through dialogue you try. You should anyway.

I'm not all in on direct conflict with Iran. I have reservations, I think anyone should. But I do think it's inevitable given their ambitions and ideology, and if you feel you have to act you hit hard and leave no doubt.

Yeah after the sixth round of talks I would say peaceful negotiations are out the window, ie Putin and Ukraine.

I think Iran should never have nuclear capable weapons. Any mean’s necessary.
