Iran

So, someone tell me the precise reasons we're starting a war with Iran, please.

Thank you.
Probably bc our Intelligence services and Mossad believe that the Iranian people are more determined than ever to take their country back after the mass killings of protesters recently. I’m not sure what to think of that, but I was surprised to see Schumer come out of a briefing this past week not pushing back on this. That surprised me.

Because blessed Israel said to and all the theologically illiterate Pastor Billy Bobs (who took cash and trips to "the holy land") convinced his congregation that a bunch of genocidal heathens are God's chosen people.

Same **** as with their brilliant "intel" leading into Iraq.
But, but, but... yellowcake!

So we're the World Police under Trump and will continue to engage in "Nation Building" despite every single, massive failure in the past.

Great.

Seemed to work on the Saudis

Not saying I entirely agreed with it, but I answered your question. I also just posted a tweet from the Saudi government supporting our action and Israel’s action. The short answer is that the Iranians are a$$holes and no one likes them in the region. That’s pretty simplistic, but it’s also accurate.

I miss the simpler times when the Klan hated Jews.

I don't agree with our involvement directly, but I absolutely cheer for the Iranian people to overthrow yet another brutal Islamic authoritarian government.

I need to read up or watch some historical documentaries on the pacific battles, I’ve always focused more on Europe.
I highly, highly recommend the documentary "The World at War." It is quite likely the best documentary ever produced IMHO. It was filmed in 73, so many of those interviewed were in theater or involved in a critical way.

I'm torn on all of this. I don't like us getting involved, but there is nothing I despise more than theocrats.

On the domestic political side, it will be interesting to see how this is spun by the administration. After all, Kamala was going to invade everyone and Trump was the "peace" president.

“With the Old Breed” is a good personal account of the Battle of Okinawa. Brutal. Leaves the reader with respect for soldiers and hate for war.
