IPOrange's Accelerated Dynasty

That will do it. I set Florida as mine, but I change it to Texas Tech/TCU/Miami depending on who I am playing. But everytime I go to start it shows up as Florida... Regardless of what team I am playing as. You can also go to like your settings outside of the dynasty and make it your playbook for your profile, but I have only found that once. One of those should solve your problem.

Alright guys, here is what I plan on doing:

All non A+ teams in a conference with a championship game are open. Everyone must be in a conference with at least one other human user (I can move teams into new conferences as necessary, so really all teams are open.)

The dynasty will advance at SPECIFIC dates and times, as in there is a hard dead line. If a user match hasn't been played by 6 to 4 hours to advance, both teams are put on auto pilot and the first to play the game... well, gets to play the game. If for some reason both people are online trying to play the CPU, obviously they have to play each other.

I am looking at advancing at every 3 days, and we can adjust that as necessary.

No recruiting accelerators. First come, first serve on teams. No cheese, and I mean it. First verified explicit cheesing, and you're gone. That's it. Just play the game as it is naturally played, and we will be fine.

I reserve all rights on any decision-making or rule-making that comes up, but am open to suggestion and discussion.

This is a dynasty for active players. Don't join if you can't get a game in every 3 days. Obviously sometimes the real world interferes, and in such a case you can be put on hold for awhile. Also, we may be lenient on hard-time advancing during holidays.

If you're interested, just post your gamer tag and team. Because of the hard deadline for advancing, I don't mind to get 12 people on this.

Teams thus far:

SlotMachine7: Pennsylvania State University

syndicate lulz: Texas Technical University

Bassmanbruno98: The University of Miami

SamboRambo8: Oklahoma State University

Skullgrind: Virginia Technical University

mellovol: Buffalo

IPorange: Indianapolis Colts

what team are you really gonna be IP?

explain cheesing for me? i dont understand what you mean

Cheesing is doing anything to abuse the game to do things that would not work or be done in an actual football game. Another way to say this is to try and play simulation football, not "arcade" football.

Examples of cheese: Usering your DE and turboing him out and around the offensive line for a sack in less than 2 seconds.

Rocket catching.

Scrambling all the way outside right away on every designed pass play. This doesn't mean you can't scramble, it just means you can't take advantage of the poor defensive AI by scrambling wide and waiting until the pass coverage breaks down every play.

Playing quarters defense-show blitz all game regardless of the opposing offense's formation.

Those are the biggies.

Is scambling out on a screen pass cheese? That's basically the only way to complete one since the RB's always stop at the end of the line and pause before finishing their route.

If it's run a coupe times a game, I don't have a serious problem with it. If it is abused, that's different.

I just don't use RB screens since they are basically broken and only work 1 out of 10 times.

what about 60 yard field goals?

No. I know what you are saying about being able to consistently hit crazy long field goals with a solid kicker and a decent amount of skill, but you'll find that a lot of the kickers that are recruited over the years don't have that kind of range even in the hands of the highly skilled users.

The only way I can get them to work is to scramble with the turbo button instantly. If not, you get sacked, but I usually have decent success running them that way. Even against fast d's.

But that's kind of cheesy to do several times a game, don't you think?

Believe me, I know what you mean. I spent a lot of time trying to find a way to make them work, and that is the best way. That's why I don't use it.

I'm not saying you can't do it (I haven't seen you do it, so if it is what I am picturing it isn't complete cheese, just a little arcadey), I am just saying don't run it 10 times a game.

I dunno how I feel about the instantly scrambling as soon as you snap the ball to get a screen to work - I've done it at times - and it just feels cheap to me imo. I've also done successful screens without having to scramble but just back pedal - sometimes you do get sacked before he breaks off his route though.

Yes, this would be the preferred method.

Word.

I usually run a screen once every 2 games anyway. I just wanted to clarify before it happened.

I don't anticipate that being a problem. Just minimize the instant QB sprinting on designed pass plays.

Let me be clear that if a QB is getting pressured, he can take off. Don't feel handicapped. There just isn't anything simulation about sprinting as soon as you receive the snap on a designed pocket pass play.

I tentatively assigned divisions/conferences in the original post. Take a look and if you have any comments or suggestions, let me know.

Looks good... also looks like a LSU v Michigan Big 12 champ game, and a V.Tech v The U ACC game.

I have never played an online dynasty but think I could probably manage to do this. I may need some help and guidance along the way. I will probably be absolutely God awful to anyone that plays me's delight too.

So what conferences could I pick a team from if I would be allowed to join? It appears ACC, SEC, Big 12?

Oh, I guess any team could be plugged in from the looks of it. My Gamertag is DownNDirtyTN

I guess I could settle for a team that would work with what you have. My choices, making them broad, in order would be.....

Virginia (no reason why except for the fact that I used them in NCAA 04 or 05 just as something different)
Kansas
Nebraska
Pittsburgh
Kansas State

Crusse, I am going to send you an invite for Michigan. If you decided on something else, just let me know and I will send you that team instead.
