iPhone X

No one talking about the issue with screen image burn-in... seems like a big concern with the X.

Mine did that at the beginning but it was because the phone was processing so much at once. After that it hasn't overheated at all.

Anybody adjusted to Face ID yet?

There is a setting which makes Face ID a little less precise and thus less difficult. Might help while you get accustomed to it:

Settings > Face ID & Passcode > Require Attention for Face ID (off)

I watch CNET’s Apple Byte videopod and they spouted off some geek benchmarks. They said the screen tested out as best in class by a wide margin.

The camera scored just below the Google Pxl2 but that device is getting raked over the coals because the screen is apparently sub par. The Verge podcast is saying you may as well stick with the Pxl1 is so bad.

I caved and ordered one. Since carriers aren't subsidizing phones anymore, I figure I'll hold on to this purchase for as long as I can, so I went ahead and got the latest and greatest. The camera + the size was the selling point over the 8

Got mine Thursday. Love it. No issues with anything. Screen is great, Face ID is seemless and really like how Now navigate around.

Mine's ordered and on the way. Expected ship date 12/10. Hate waiting but after seeing one in person, I caved and went to the upgrade website. Ordered through TMob for wife, hers gets a $300 bill credit over next two years so that's as close as you get to a carrier subsidy these days I guess. Not complaining. I'm on Apple's upgrade program so it amounts to a 1 year lease for all practical purposes. Although I've had Galaxy Notes and loved them, I keep going back to Apple for ecosystem (watch, iPad, macbook, etc.).

I dig the no home button. Didn’t take too long to get used to. Face ID works really well

Phone does seem much faster than my 6s Plus.
