iphone vs. droid?

For those of you with Android based phones, XDA is the best resource on the net for learning how to tweak it.

4G is effing amazing. Sitting in the lobby of my hotel in Chicago and I'm flying all over the web. I can't wait to get this for daily use.

I disagree with your reasoning as to why some like the Droid. I personally owned and extensively used the Blackberry (my company even has the Enterprise Server) for several years - both before the iPhone was launched and afterwards - but when I decided to switch, I got a Droid.

That a kindergarten child could use the iPhone is axiomatic judging by the few Apple users I've met.

Haha! Couldn't have said it better myself. Some people like that though. At least they can't break it.

My AT&T contract runs out at the end of the month. I've been debating on getting the Motorola Atrix or wait for the iPhone 5. I currently have the 3GS, but my dad has the Atrix and it's a really great phone. I can't decide which one to choose.

Screw the iphone. Just because apple makes it doesn't guarantee that it is great.

I bought a Samsung Galaxy Android phone and I love it more than my wife's iphone.

Havent seen all the details yet on the 5, but when in doubt, I would always wait a little past October to get a new phone. Seems to be the time when they come out with the latest and greatest.

You're right. Its a great phone because its a great phone. Slap a winner's choice sticker on that phone and I would still prefer it to anything out there right now.

The best comparison that I have learned, by using both Droid and Iphone, is that and Iphone is more for a person who wants a simple smart phone to use right out of the box and never do anything else with it. A droid is for the person who is a little more technologically advanced, and can take the phone out of the box and instead of just "take out and go" it's more of a "take out and customize to what YOU would like"

Moral of the story, when faced with the choice of a droid or an Iphone, I chose the droid. I have the X2 and love it, never regret my decision.

Cool story bro?

I have an iPhone 4 since they came out, and mines torn to ****. It's shredded you can see the camera lens and the whole back has been torn off..

I have an upgrade but don't really want to get another Iphone4 not bc it sucks but just because I'd like to change it up.

Is there a way to get a droid x ( or whatever their new phone is) through at&t? If not what would you recommend getting from AT&T?

Look the whole idea that you spend hundreds of dollars on an iphone 4 then have Apple tell you not to hold it with your left hand is retarded. They had to give out special cases to prevent the dropping of calls.

"I know you spent $300 on your phone but you'll need to put this special duct tape over the antennae to get it to work properly."

Apple admits iPhone 4 drops more calls than predecessors, gives out free 'bumpers'

By the way here is what I think of the Ipad for all the kool aid drinkers......

I'd say bcm's statements are basically true. Apple sandbox's their OS much more tightly than any Android to date. Customization is easier on an android. Screwing up up your Android is easier too.

Both types of phone are awesome though. I have a Galaxy S; wife has a iPhone 4.

IMO
Apple stregnths - apps far superior, standard design leads to more and better accessories, Apple design, both of the physical phone and interface top notch.

Android stregnths - More manufacturers lead to more variety. Actrix, Xperia mini, Infuse - very different flavors of Android. Innovation is faster too; new phones every few months. Build quality can vary though. No iTunes!

Every single IT person I know has an iPhone
