I interpreted the video that he drinks protein shakes that keep him awake at night. Then he has a lot of nervous energy, but when it comes to work, he sleeps on the job. He was possibly fired, and they flew him out of town. Or he was bored with Ames already, and they flew him out of town in a thunderstorm. That's all I've got.
