Leaving the game today, I heard two different conversations.

One was two guys discussing the game. They were making the same points that you've read here tonight. It was all about the actual game.

The second was two guys who were discussing the game experience. They talked about being inside Neyland Stadium. They talked about the checkerboard endzones. They talked about the team running through the T. They talked about the airforce flyover after the National Anthem was sung. They were totally in awe of the whole experience of just "being at the game".

I left the stadium feeling let down. But these two conversations reminded me that Tennessee football is something different to each of us. And we are all invested to a different degree. And that is the case on this board as well.

So please be respectful to your fellow posters. We all love Big Orange. Some know more than others when it comes to X's and O's. But we are all part of the same (dysfunctional) family.

GO VOLS!!

Great post VG. I am finally healthy and celebrating 32 years of marriage. I am going to try and get tickets for the crushing of KY. I am so thankful to be able to see a game in person. The only thing worse than being a Vol fan right now, is being a fan of any other team. Go Big Orange.

Its our jobs as fans to educate each other on our team. I wish I had the extra income to experience the gameday in knoxville, and it depresses me that I don't. I will hopefully go there soon to finish up my bachelors, and to get my masters. It would e amazing to win while I complete those degrees.

Thanks VG. I think my wife pretends to like football much like I pretend to like country music. We both know the truth, but that's love for you. I have a feeling tickets will not be hard to get. I can't wait for the game.

Congrats on 32 years!! That is awesome!!!

Quite the accomplishment! As my father once said...the key to a happy and long marriage is keeping ones mouth shut and the ears open. I have 30 in the books. Not easy but worth the effort.
