Interview with Coach Dooley...

Urban bends recruiting rules to the maximum but he has never broken any major ones. Call it unethical, but that's what you need in a coach, especially in the SEC. Kiffin seemed similar and I like that in a coach. I don't know enough about Dooley's recruiting so I won't comment on that.

Biggest difference in Kiffin and Meyer, coaching ability and intelligence. Now, that whole fiasco with him retiring was dumb, but overall, Meyer is 1,000x the coach Kiffin will EVER be. Meyer has won at a high level in 3 different places. Kiffin hasn't won jack yet, but is poised to after being handed the keys to a Ferrari.

Yeah, I have a really rough life.

Go easy on me, especially when it involves anything requiring brain activity.

I mean, anyone who thinks negatively of the almighty Derek Dooley's abilities is obviously insipid. It's not like he's a proven loser or anything.

He has a Hot wife and was a lawyer.
Those 2 are a Automatic Plus+ in Life

He has always had my support. Dooley is a good fit here. Smart guy with a good pedigree. If the on field breaks pans out, I think the negavols will will tuck tail and leave.
That is some wishful thinking though.

There is a difference between unethical and being too stupid to figure out the rules.

Eric I still find it difficult to read anything you write regarding Kiffin with the way you were pleasuring yourself last year every time he belched.

Because he was our coach, and I had to convince myself that he had a plan. Like we talked about today, all he did was cast a wide net and attempt to recruit quickly and not have a long term plan. Trust me, my crow I had to eat because of last year was not cooked well and very bitter.

You don't even need the second part of that sentence to make the first part obvious (although it does help).

I'm just saying don't expect anyone to take any of your Kiffin criticism seriously, you just seem like a jilted lover.

Hey, that's fine. Sometimes it takes being jilted by someone to understand the REAL nature of the person you are dealing with. Has happened many times in my life.

Kiffin lost 5 games, with some bad losses--how was that a good season and good coaching job?

It just seems to me you have a problem keeping personal bias out of the equation, but carry on.

I have to say, I was crushed when FLK left. You're not alone. But I am over it now, so I don't want anyone yelling at me :nono:

The guy just sounds like he knows what he is talking about. 7 years with Saban clearly rubbed off on him.

At times last year I wondered what in the hell FLK was talking about sometimes. And the nervous leg-rubs and elbow rubs made it seem like everything he said was him lying through his teeth.

This for certain and he fits here as a coach and persona. I can see why people doubt he will do well but it runs contrary to the vibe I get. Save that one to rub in if needed.
