Interview with Coach Dooley...

Sure, but I don't think you can overemphasize Lincoln's terriblosity.

He had a noodle leg all year, and to add to it he strained his hammy...hammys are pretty important to kickers and if that muscle is not 100% then it's pretty hard to sweep that leg like usual to kick. Kiffin knew all this and still sent him out. That being said, it was one of the worst kicks I've seen. He was not 100% though

For the record, he sucked prior to any hamstring injury.

Bull s*** and you know it. Smith trains Pro Bowlers. Pro Bowlers CALL HIM to train with him. Stop with the verbal fellatio of the old staff, they're gone. We upgraded at defensive line coach - fact. Oh, and pertaining to the bold...he was a DL coach for the #1 defense in the NFL. Genius

Chuck Smith was an ASSISTANT DL coach.

Ed Orgeron was the main man for the DL. Head honcho. The don. Lucky Luciano. Al Capone.

But, you're right. Orgeron sucks and a nondescript, glorified GA (what Smith was with the Jets) is better.
Hell, what were the Saints thinking when they signed Orgeron for his recruiting abilities?

Alright, stop running that Ed Orgeron meat holster. You're denying the fact that Chuck Smith is one of the best in the business, and a better DL coach than Ogre. You're out of your mind

That statement is utterly absurd and is powered by nothing but sour grapes.

No. It's not. How good was the Saints' DL that year? Yeah. Smith trains the elite

NFL's about talent.
O obviously didn't recruit the DL very well while employed in New Orleans.

There's a big difference between "training" and being an actual coach.

Have you ever heard a coach say:

"Son, if you want to be trained to play in the NFL then come here, but if you want to be coached to go to the NFL you're gonna have to find another school."

 No, because I don't even know what that means.

See Kiffin61's post above

Exactly, it doesn't make any sense.

"Son, we can train you, but we can't coach you."
Oh, I get it now. Training and coaching are separate and uniquely different. Nobody is capable of both.

Quit playing semantics. He was an assistant DL coach for the Jets. He was a glorified workout buddy for a few Pro-Bowlers.

Ok, so what if I told you that I thought that all of Orgeron's success at New Orleans was just because Gary Williams was the DC?

Doesn't that just make Orgeron a glorified D-Line coach?

He was there for one year. On top of that, the Saints are obviously NOT built on defense.

You are full of it. Get Ogre out of your mouth for a few and think. Workout buddy my foot, they called him so they could learn
