Interlocking UT, Davy Crockett, or Power T?

Which logo do you prefer?

I know you're probably just kidding around, but I couldn't help but notice the scare quotes around the term fan to describe my choice of UNC logo. I was born and raised in North Carolina. Spent the first 22 years of my life there. I was a Tarheel fan from birth practically. I've spent the last five years of my life doing my time here at UT and have another two to go, after which I'll have two degrees from the university.

Imagine if they were in the SEC? Glad to have someone else that catches crap like I do.

Good poll Yankee, the results are surprising, at least to me. I thought that the interlocks would get way more votes.

And your point is what...after (at least) 27 years, you can't make up your mind?

Well, my point was to defend an obvious jab (albeit perhaps joking) at my UNC fanhood, like I was simply a bandwagoner. However, it's possible to be a fan of two college teams (when you have understandable allegiances to each), especially when they only meet about once every other decade, if even that. I didn't mention it earlier, but I also teach at UT, so I can have some loyalty, as well, to the school that feeds me, can't I? My screen name "ain't" Volprof for nothing. :)

I voted for the power T, but that interlocking UT and Davy Crockett were what my parents always had growing up so I have some fond memories of all three. My wife has a long sleeve t-shirt with the Davy Crockett logo on it that is her favorite Tenn shirt. If I had to pick one to wear the rest of my life though it would probably be the power T. As someone said earlier is a clean and simple looking logo.

Shocking as it might seem to you, I deduced from "Volprof" that you taught at UT.

I did not read your name as "Volproof", a name you might go by if you were attempting to show that your Tar Heels could not be overwhelmed by the Vols.

And, no, its not possible to be the fan of two teams at the same time. Two years ago, in the Music City Bowl, you probably were sniveling into a diaper, torn by your indecision as to which team you should pull for. Tell your split personalities/ two identities that a choice must be made, and while doing so remember whose tax dollars keep food on your table. :bash:

Well, I was just having a little fun with you, but if that's the way you feel, then that's fine. I don't know what exactly your vendetta is with me. Didn't know I had done anything to offend you, sir. If I did, then I apologize. I'm sorry my parents are 9th generation North Carolinians and also gave birth to me in that state; likewise, I'm sorry that I moved out here to teach at your university, since it seems you have an exclusive ownership of it. Chances are that won't mean anything though. And you know, my tax dollars go to UT as well seeing as to how I'm also a resident of this state. Anyhow, I didn't join this forum in order to get into arguments with people I've never even met nor am I likely to ever meet. Good day to you and yours.

Well, well, you broke down and told the truth pretty quickly. See there, you can't be a fan of two different schools.

And after a little prodding, you made your choice evident...well, here's my retort, Volprof:

GO VOLS

Texas sued over the interlocking UT. Claimed it was trademarked. Pretty sure UT used it first.

Hasn't worked for me yet.....you just have to ignore the jabs.
