With the current state of our program, the drama on Sunday, and the Gundy deal falling through maybe we just try to go the route of an interim head coach? It feels like we're rushing to find a head coach and we'll take the first decent name we can get whether or not they're a fit for the program. I think we should take a year with an interim head coach, let the drama blow over and wait for the right guy to come available.

Thoughts?

What makes you think whoever they offer the interim to would take the job? Gillespie or Hole would turn it down I think. So would Fulmer.

I agree if during the interim we can Currie and Davenport and bring in some strong leadership that aren't Haslam lap dogs.

I'm a fan of Tee but I don't think he's quite ready for a head coaching position of this magnitude. I would rather him come down the road when he has a bit more experience.

He’s as ready as most of these guys who have no connection to the SEC. They’ll be in over their heads just like Butch.

The time for safe hires is over. We aren’t getting one.

Look how Arkansas did after hiring a Big Ten Champion as their head coach. They just fired him. These guys have no experience recruiting to an SEC school. Morris lucked into our leftovers when our brilliant former coach told Tajh Boyd his services weren’t needed.

We are throwing around Top 3 money. It's going to make a lot more people listen than you think.

There are a lot of proven, quality coaches on the list between Gundy and Tee Martin - just have to be patient.

He also did fine with the 1 year that he and Deshaun Watson were there together. Morris can recruit also. Probably better than Mr.Cowboy forever.
