Smart we can get IMO if the price is right, say 2-2.5 per. Even then he would view the job as a stepping stone.

Lavin would have to be insane to come here considering the easy recruiting grounds New York has to offer.

Why in the heck would you pay a guy 2.5MM that is making 400K today?

Also, before the Shaka fans get going too quickly, check out his regular season performance. Who on the team did he recruit? Need to slow down and proceed w caution on this one.

I never claimed to be a Smart fan. Just giving my opinion on what it would take to land him. I might be wrong though, maybe he would come for less.

There's no doubt he knows how to win games, but I would never want my kid to play for Bob Knight...and I'm a firm believer in discipline. Flame away.

There is no need for anyone to flame you for your opinion. They should however respect it.

So as far as Knight goes... We would essentially be trading a coach that lies to his governing body for a coach that violates the Geneva convention in his tirades on a regular basis... Hmm...

I don't want either of those old guys, we need a young gun that's hungry and will relate to young players. It may be a hit or miss, but after talking with sone buddies, this could be a homerun or a strike out, but has anyone thought about Dane Bradshaw?? This kid knows the game!

Yea, there's no way anyone would pay attention to Larry Brown.

No big deal and I didn't take it that you were 110% in his corner. I think they can get an established coach now that CBP has raised the program to a new level. And as for salary, ,,, for what UT charges to watch a game and gets in contributions I don't care how much they pay a coach. :thumbsup:i think they can pay whatever it takes at this point.

It's not my first choice, just throwing out a thought! I'd take Wright or Smart 1st, but I'd rather take a chance with DB rather than some old guy that want be here 2 yrs!

I saw throw 3M at Brad Stevens and see what he says

Is he the Butler coach? Would love to have him.

For those more in the know than I, why wouldn't he be interested? (From comments I've read, I've gathered that we'd have a snowball's chance in hell of getting him)
