Interesting viewpoint xbox 360 vs ps3

That's all well and good, but in the end, it comes down to the games. No way to tell right now. Signs are pointing to much less exclusivity outside of 1st party titles. It also seems like both with have different 'extra' features like new levels, episodes, etc., probably exclusive to each.

Just like sports, that's why we play it out on the field. How important is online? 360 is whipping PS3 in this regard right now and is their obvious focus.

Eh... I'll give PS3 some time to get on its feet before I really start judging it.

With last generation, XBox Live was all well and good, but in the end, I don't go around showing off the graphics of games to my friends, so I really could care less how graphics are advancing. As long as it doesn't interfere negatively with the gameplay, I don't care how it looks.

But, in the end, I will own both systems. I got my preferences, but it doesn't matter to me and I can't speak for anybody else.

That quote just points to the strength of the 360. Live! vs. NOTHING.:birgits_giggle:

Yeah, give Sony some time to work the bugs out.

I think the strength of live is one of the things I like best about my 360. I just think it will be a LONG time before sony will catch up if ever.

I can't imagine not wanting better graphics. I think better graphics is the biggest reason for each new generation of console. That said, I don't think the difference between 360 or ps3 graphics should be that big of a deal either way.

I agree that I don't think it's fair to judge the ps3 games for now since it's so new. Some of the original 360 games were crappy last year.

Xbox Live is what makes the 360 for me. I very rarely play offline anymore. the graphics are great but I am about smooth gameplay and so far the 360 is silky. There are some titles that peak my intrest on ps3 but at the price to have one now I would wait. Let them build up thier stock, see what happens with Blue Ray, get a better online senario, work out thi bugs, then in 3-4 years get one for half of what it is now with more to offer. By then Xbox 720 will be out:)

That didn't read like an un-biased review....I do agree with the guy on the HD DVD...one format will win and one won't, I like to be able to choose.

I also have never owned a PS, but I never understood the "allegiance" concept in gaming, guess I'm not that big of a nerd yet.

Freak do you regret selling your PS3?

Actually, I still haven't sold it. It's sitting in my dining room, still unopened. I will make my final decision this week. I hate ebay so if I decide not to keep it (which is likely) I'll probably just take it back to EB games.

I have heard that Resistance is pretty fun, which is the only game I bought for it. Looking at the other titles, I'm not sure there are any other "must have" games right now that I don't already have on the 360. It's hard for me to justify $800 just to play Resistance. Granted, there will be more games in time but it's slim right now.

I could not resist that black box on the floor, you have an iron will. I want to pick up NBA2k7 for 360, I played the demo and it is good. Not a big NBA fan but it is fun to play againts friends. I liked it better than ea sports bball.

There's really no reason to own one right now. I think you'd be an idiot to return it when you can probably make at least $50 or $100 off craigslist simply by placing an ad and letting them drop by your office to pick it up.

Wilson still needs one. If you do take it back, let me talk to Kris. He wants to put it on a no-interest card so maybe he can go with you can buy it as you return it.

Yeah. I think there's a sticker on the box if it's inside.

Just FYI: It's the theatrical release and the transfer isn't all that great. There's much better looking BD movies. And, most folks wanting this on DVD will probably want the Unrated version with the extras.

Cool. I'll check. Just something else to include in the offer if I do put it on Craigslist.
