Not even close. The Saban/Kiffin marriage was coming to.an end regardless. Sark was brought in because Saban is always preparing for the future and want to ease the transition between the two. However the distraction got too big.
There was also reason Saban was talking up Kiffin for a head coaching job, because the last thing he wanted was for kiffin to go to LSU as OC. Saban thought his street cred would help that dork get a hc job, knowing he isnt ready yet.

I see Merit in this way of thinking, not as much Tenn as somebody else with more to offer.. AND I now sure hope BAMA NOW wins just not to make Kiffin look good.. Bama loses and Kiffin is the smart one with all the brains??
