The average length of FBS football games through the first four weeks has been 3 hours, 23 minutes.

Tennessee has had the second longest average length of games at 4:04.

You can use that to make a lot of excuses or implications or whatever you want. I just thought it was an interesting stat.

Stat is from CBS Sports

It must be all of the passing we are doing. The clock stops on an incomplete pass.

Granted the rain delay game adds to UT's average but UT's shortest game to date was the WCU game at 3:30.

I wish the Florida game ended about 3 minutes earlier...

I don't really see that as damming. You have a rain delay against BGSU, an overtime game against OK, and then that awful CBS broadcast with commercial breaks every 4 plays.I honestly think that game time is mostly out of the team and coaches control most of the time.

I've been to every game this year... There have been a stupid amount of commercial timeouts, and memorials durring the 1st qtr. Plus we played on CBS last week. Theyre the commercial kings!!! The double overtime too..
