Indiana had a pretty bad defense. Our inability to punch it in in the Red Zone is the single-biggest defining mark of a JG-led offense. We have always been terrible in the red zone with him as QB. Our OL did not block well. Our D played lights out for a half allowing both the fewest yards (by a long shot) and the fewest points to what had been a pretty good offense.
The 2nd Half of the Indiana game basically emcompasses our entire season. We started off bad, got down in a pretty big hole and then somehow resuscitated ourselves against poor opposition to end up just okay.
If we had gotten Michigan or Penn State, like this fool-hardy forum wanted... they would have slaughtered us.
Live in Georgia and this is so true. My brother in law who pretends to be a big uga fan didn’t watch the bowl game cause he thought they were going to lose because they didn’t care about the game.uga is currently on a 651 game winning streak. The losses don’t count because they either didn’t really care about the game or the refs cheated them.
Not sure I understand your logic regarding your last statement?
According to an article i just read on collegefootballnews.com, Tennessee was the biggest comeback of the season. No other team this season has come back from a double-digit deficit with less than 5 minutes to go in the game to win the game.
Minnesota was the real deal this year for sure. Let’s hope we make that leap next season.
