Interesting read from A Memphis blog

Lofton did everything he was asked. Just having him on the floor made the game so much easier for the rest of the guys. You have to be aware of an All-American when he is on the floor.
I would have liked to see Memphis "be aware" of him while he scored 20-30. "Everything he was asked" is a little much.

I will agree that CBP slightly outcoached Cal, but not by much. Like one guy said earlier, CDR, Dozier, and Dorsey (especially the last 2) played well below their standards. And to your point #2. How would Memphis taking outside shots pull away their own big men from the goal? That's not what got them beat on the boards. Tennessee wanted it more last night and Memphis got what they deserved. When you play subpar against a top tier team, you are going to lose. Tennessee beat the Tigers at their own game and DESERVED to walk out of the Forum with a win.

CBP dared the Tigers to keep shooting from the outside and Calipari let them. The reason Calipari got outcoached was either he did not see the trap that CBP set, or he saw it and let his team take 3's that gave up the rebounds that enabled UT to take the win!

I never, not one time, worried about being outcoached. Calipari can't carry Bruce's jock, what I was shocked by, is the physical nature with which we played.

being a west TN native i have been hissed at all yr for saying UT's biggest advantage in the game was coaching, saturday's game proves i was right....GO VOLS BEAT VANDY COMMODES!!!! yes i mean commodes lol

Absolutely...you have to give Tiger High credit...they were all over Lofton like white on rice in a glass of milk on a paper plate in a snowstorm.

Those guys had sub-par games because cbp had the perfect game plan. Give the coach all the credit he had his team ready to play.
