Interesting Opinion about this uhh Kiffin thingy..

Are you kidding? I asked for a list of major conference champions and you come up with one mid major, one team not in a conference, one team I already listed, and 3 other teams that didn't win the conference.

Thats not the point...the point is USC has scheduled traditional conference powers on their non conference scedule..and usually USC wins...or atleast 98% of the time..

And unlike the SEC, USC has never and I mean NEVER played a DII team...

USC has 11 by themselves.

I know that. USC has won many NC's and they have had a very good program over the years.

I don't have a problem with Lane taking the job at USC, other than the timing of it all.I mean come on USC Trojan just put yourself in our shoes, how would USC fan feel if their recruiting class, and coaching staff was completely "blowed up" a couple of weeks before NSD,plus you have to understand we where already thin as paper depth wise. I don't put the blame on USC,but I do put the blame on our AD for not having a contract a little more air tight.

Ok Kiffin offered the kids a scholarship to Tennessee. What that scholarship guarantees is two things…Free education, and the privilege to play football for the Volunteer program. Those two promises will be fulfilled no matter who the coach is. What that scholarship does not promise, is that Kiffin will be their coach during their entire tenure, nor does it promise them a better chance a to reach the NFL. So it bothers me to hear about parents moving all the way to Tennessee because their kid is enrolled there. That’s just plain foolish. In today’s college football atmosphere, playing for a long term head coach should not be expected.

Coaches move on, get fired or simply retire. Case in point, there were 22 new coaches appointed this year, with more changes expected to come. What am I getting at? Kids should enroll at SCHOOLS that they want to play for, not the Coaches who recruit them. That way, you can never be disappointed..or start riots, burn mattresses, or create Facebook pages dedicated to the coach who disappointed you..

kids should enroll at schools that aren't going to go on probation.

or schools that hire backstabing coaches that have coached at a school for more than two years.

hey, come to our school we'll be (a different school) of the south...and then we'll leave when a better offer comes (like the nfl)

Bottoom Line.... Kiffin is trash. Our AD made a costly mistake. Hopefully Dooley isn't another one and can turn it around... at least he sounded sincere when talking about Tennessee traditions. I do agree kids should play for the schools they want, but just like the coaches now days, the kids are all eyeing the bigger prize... and unfortunately any coach who sells that the best will get the recruit. Kiffin is a better fit at USC... he didn't and never would have fit in here in the south. HERE'S TO THE END OF THE "KIFFIN ERROR"

I hope Lane gets you guys in trouble with the NCAA. I hope your program starts spiraling towards the ground in flames. Maybe Lane's wife will leave him because of all the affairs he apparently was having here. Praying for Monte to retire. Hope recruit's parents lose all faith in this staff and send their blue chip children to UCLA where they can believe what a coach tells them. Hope Coach O loses his job and has to promote hooked on phonics on late night TV commercials.
Then after you guys fire them I will hope the best for you because I have no personal feelings towards USC. Just your leader.

BTW, you said USC will never fall. Better watch what you say because all power houses fall eventually and rebuild. That's where Kiffin might lead you if you are not careful.

he did not just leave,he punked out,and he tells too many lies, anyone wan ting to voice their opinion can call usc football dept and leave message for Lane 213-740-4204....one call is not harassment, but no threats...:shaking2:

Its spelled , k i f f e n suxs. True a kid needs to play for the school not the coach, who is a lying no class jerk. Glad you have him and good luck with him when you're on probation with no tv or bowl games.:salute:
call him and tell him 1-213-740-4204

Dear Lord,

In the past year you have taken my favorite actor Patrick Swayze, my favorite actress Farrah Fawcett, my favorite musician Michael Jackson, my favorite news anchor Walter Cronkite, my favorite athlete Steve McNair, and my favorite TV pitchman Billy Mays. I just wanted to let you know my favorite football coach is Lane Kiffin!!!!

I think you mean unlike florida, alabama, LSU. We don't play DII teams. And before you say Western Kentucky, they were DI starting last year. Hence why they were considered for OUR schedule. You are wrong, we are right. kthanks.

USC TROJAN...Are you serious? Some of those kids honestly came to play for probably th best DC in the game. They could care less about the school. I dont agree with this because I feel that you go to the schol that provides YOU the best education. Hoowever, alot of these kids are not in it to get a good education they to are using a school as a stepping stone to the next level and they will go to the school that they feel provides them that best oppurtunity.

Why would you in such a sorry ass conference? When 98% (your parlance) or essentially breaks, who needs a break?

Once the NCAA gets done with the "West Coast Bammers" Kiffin and Ogre will be coaching at the HS that Idiot AD will be teaching at (he would be a great case study) Good riddance to "Lane Violation"! We have moved on and are much better off with CDD!!! And for those worried about Dooley's record at LATECH,just remember this; Lame Kitten has won exactly 7 more ncaa games than you and I(all earned at UT after we hired him) and has as many NCAA violations as wins!!!!!! LMFAO!!!!! I will be anxiously awaiting the saga to play out in Troy!!!!

Ok dude, do you want to say anything relevent before I openly humiliate you on your ignorance of your own schools history?...DivII schools huh?...Well sir, You are correct in that aspect...But you FAIL miserably in forgetting to admit teams you HAVE played against...Honesly, USC has played against more HIGH SCHOOLS...Thats is correct..HIGH SCHOOLS...Than probably my own high school...And people wonder how these so called historical teams get such amazing win/lose records...All you need to do is check out USC's history and it tells you all you need to know...Seriously, Whitter Reform school? :eek:lol: By the way you have 10 natioanl titles not 11...Your trying to act like Alabama...I am serious, Check it out for yourself :eek:lol: Southern California Opponents Now the next time you feel froggy enough to come over to a another teams board and swap war stories make sure you have a little ammo...Now run along before We kick your Kiffin some more.

Glad you have Kif back. Now you have a wimpy coach for a wimpy style of football. He knew that he could never compete in the SEC so he jumped ship. I am glad he is gone we do not need him or any of his pals. We are the University of Tennessee.Get lost trojan.

Yeh, it creates more problems when families move to Knoxville, they are required to actually BUY a house down here. I see how it would be less of a slap in the face if we just gave them a house!

So? Playing a DII team isn't really different than playing a team like last year's Washington or Washington State squad. The name sounds better. The end result had no other possible outcome.

I am in LA this morning... and I can tell you from the small non-scientific poll that I have been taking, there are a lot of USC fans that are no more happy about the douche being here than we are... The next few months will be interesting.

To be fair, they're probably just upset that their dominant stretch has been shaken a bit. I assume they'll come around.

This is making me laugh my ass off...Yes the Pac 10 is in a slum...but that has not always been the case. Hell as early as 5 years ago most of the ranked teams were not SEC teams...Just because guys get all that preseason ranking love doesnt mean much,

I don't think anyone is jumping for joy that Kiffin is here. He is still unproven as a coach. He just dropped in our laps like he did at Tennessee last year. My only gripe is with the guys who said he was a good coach, 2 weeks ago, now saying that he is a terrible coach today. Loyalty is a thing in itself and personaly I dont care if the guy takes another job somewhere else in the near future..
