Just as long as your opponents all play a pro style offense you'll be fine.... If they play any version of the spread Monte is very mediocre....

Your new classy coach didn't have the balls to tell his players that he was leaving! Most of them heard it on ESPN. Now...That's what I call class! Then a one minute press conference to tell everyone else he was leaving! Hope you enjoy your new coach cause we're glad he's gone! If you had any class you'd be gone to!

I hate that Kiffin left us in the lurch like he did,but he did what he thinks is best for him,weather I liked it or not,which I didn't :) what do you think he will do to help USC in the long run ? I know Monte is a big get,but he will retire in a couple of years,and I've all ways thought that Lane will bolt for the NFL as soon as he can,with his dads help,what are the other USC fans thinking about Lane ?

Do you honestly believe that the Tennessee program is in a worse position than is was before he came there? I can't imagine anyone else who could have pulled in a 6th ranked recruiting class that fast.. Hell he had to be loud and obnoxious..and it worked..

How many did your 5 stars [not starts] dominate this year? You better hope the other teams run a pro style offense or Monte will not dominate anybody...He did not fare so well against the spread offense

I personally think USC (and Garrett) know what's about to come down from the 'AA and so does Carroll..... Carroll scoots out for the duration, Kiffin comes in and keeps the seat warm while the sanctions are in effect and as soon as the storm passes BAM! Carroll comes back and Kiffin gets pushed aside after a contentious three to five years......

We have some wildly unproven and relatively unknown guy from Louisiana Tech, and many recruits are jumping ship. We're setting ourselves up for the traditionalist loser portion of our fan base to bring back Fulmer in a few years if this hire is a disaster. UT could very well lose this decade because of Lane's decision.

True, but it's still better off to me at least than where Fulmer had the program headed.

How could anybody with two brain cells think we're in BETTER shape now??!?!?!! The 6th ranked class has evaporated.... We're going to be doing well to get anybody to come here until Dooley proves he can really get the job done. You can rationalize in your mind what Kiffin did to Tennessee all you want to but folks with any integrity at ALL know it was a screw job...

Is Lame Kitten not the dumbest name ever? It wasn't funny or witty when our rivals used it and it isn't now. I bought into what he was selling and he bolted. He is no longer relevant to my college football experience.

We have had them before. We just had to replace a coach that had burned out. Lane was not the savor of UT. We would have gotten on PROBATION eventually!!

10 new starters on D this year..as well as a new Offensive and defensive coordinators...not sure what you expected..but the 9-4 season we had this year can be chalked up to pure talent
