you're complaining about the treatment your boy Kiff is getting on a Vol Message Board, after he basically raped and pillaged our program in the last week, come on man, I thought USC was an academic powerhouse, I forgot most of it's fans go to Cal State Fullerton though :)

wow...a few months ago..we were all cool..now because of Lane...USC is the enemy...here is a question..What did USC or it's fans(not Lane ) Do to Tennessee..?[/QUOTE]

You were born.
Because you were sleazy enough to go after a first year HC... right before NSD. That sets a program, that was early in the rebuilding stage, WWWWWAAAYYY back. That's why I thought it was sleazy and low-down to approach Coach Sark, for the same reason...and that was before Kiffin bailed.

I would be very much against our AD trying to snag a coach under such circumstances. It's just highly unethical to destroy a program in order to save your own. There are too many good options to turn to. This program was moving forward...and USC's AD single-handled sabotaged our team in one day flat...that sorry bastard.

There are more USC fans at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Opisbo than there are in Los Angeles.

So as the recruits play for the University, so should the fans support the school not the coach. We now have a coach......you, and Garrett deserve everything you now have, which is certainly not a coach.

Ok Kiffin offered the kids a scholarship to Tennessee. What that scholarship guarantees is two things…Free education, and the privilege to play football for the Volunteer program. Those two promises will be fulfilled no matter who the coach is. What that scholarship does not promise, is that Kiffin will be their coach during their entire tenure, nor does it promise them a better chance a to reach the NFL. So it bothers me to hear about parents moving all the way to Tennessee because their kid is enrolled there. That’s just plain foolish. In today’s college football atmosphere, playing for a long term head coach should not be expected.

Coaches move on, get fired or simply retire. Case in point, there were 22 new coaches appointed this year, with more changes expected to come. What am I getting at? Kids should enroll at SCHOOLS that they want to play for, not the Coaches who recruit them. That way, you can never be disappointed..or start riots, burn mattresses, or create Facebook pages dedicated to the coach who disappointed you..

Maybe the coaches ( namely Kiffin ) should stop selling themselves and sell the University.

Guys...we all liked Kiff. If anybody here didn't think this was his stepping stone (to either a better job or a big contract here) then you're on crack. He's a conceited ass, but it was cool and funny (still is) when he was our conceited ass. Hammy knew LK would go on to greener pastures, but I'm sure he thought, just as I did, he'd HAFTA prove he could coach and prove he could win. He had us on a fast track to re-stocking the talent level here until USC came callin. Here's his dilema...what if USC hires somebody his age? He's waitin a decade to get his shot. He left. I would have too. You would have too. He and Monte have spoke well of TN, I wish this would have happened three recruiting classes later and we'd be set. Didn't. Sux, but we gotta move on.

We can't really blame this guy. We refused to believe that Kiffin was a prick when he was our guy and they are just doing what we did. This poster is just making excuses for Kiffin because nobody wants to admit that their coach lacks morals and ethics.

But most importantly I think we have a found a replacement that possesses the values that we hold dear at the University of Tennessee.

Go Vols!

Thanks for the love guys!!

It's not you so much as it is your new coach that has everyone up in arms. It's just a tough environment at UT at the moment.

VolDad pretty summarized. Nobody expects a coach who is hired to rebuild a program to leave after one year.

The guy convinced recruits to buy in to HIS plan to rebuild a program (not the university itself), they committed, and he left--in some cases within days of their arrival.

Come back and keep us posted on violations and all that stuff that comes with Kiffin.

The impunity with which he moves about is amazing. We thought it was Al Davis. They think it's us. Whoever gets CLK next will think it's just them. Wow. Al Davis was right. He's one helluva con man.

The Tennessee hate is not directed toward USC fans. Its the no good lying pretender you hired. He proved
Crazy Al Davis  still has rational moments.
Its the lies and disrespect lk has shown in the way he left
# 1 He refused to answer questions or address the fan
at his resignation press conf.
* shows he lacks class or accountability for his actions

#2 Claiming UT fans were just upset he left because we
saw how good he did while here.
* the hate was for the way he left the team after all
he said about having their back and being a family.

#3 Finding out after he's gone how he did'nt respect
UT traditions.

#4 He's all about drawing attention to himself. No guts to answer questions with a straight forward answer.:salute:

usc trojan,
just because your beloved pete carroll left for the nfl doesnt mean you should take your "I cant believe we hired that Kiffin clown back" anger out on us. We got screwed majorly and you must not realize that. Also, if a kid loves a university and the parents move there because they want their child to be happy and close to home at the same time, I see no problem with that. Also, you should be spending your time worrying about the hammer that is coming down and the hammer that will come down from kiffin on your program from the ncaa and NOT being a pest on our website.
