Because you were sleazy enough to go after a first year HC... right before NSD. That sets a program, that was early in the rebuilding stage, WWWWWAAAYYY back. That's why I thought it was sleazy and low-down to approach Coach Sark, for the same reason...and that was before Kiffin bailed.wow...a few months ago..we were all cool..now because of Lane...USC is the enemy...here is a question..What did USC or it's fans(not Lane ) Do to Tennessee..?[/QUOTE]
You were born.
I would be very much against our AD trying to snag a coach under such circumstances. It's just highly unethical to destroy a program in order to save your own. There are too many good options to turn to. This program was moving forward...and USC's AD single-handled sabotaged our team in one day flat...that sorry bastard.
Trojan
you're complaining about the treatment your boy Kiff is getting on a Vol Message Board, after he basically raped and pillaged our program in the last week, come on man, I thought USC was an academic powerhouse, I forgot most of it's fans go to Cal State Fullerton though![]()
Ok Kiffin offered the kids a scholarship to Tennessee. What that scholarship guarantees is two things Free education, and the privilege to play football for the Volunteer program. Those two promises will be fulfilled no matter who the coach is. What that scholarship does not promise, is that Kiffin will be their coach during their entire tenure, nor does it promise them a better chance a to reach the NFL. So it bothers me to hear about parents moving all the way to Tennessee because their kid is enrolled there. Thats just plain foolish. In todays college football atmosphere, playing for a long term head coach should not be expected.
Coaches move on, get fired or simply retire. Case in point, there were 22 new coaches appointed this year, with more changes expected to come. What am I getting at? Kids should enroll at SCHOOLS that they want to play for, not the Coaches who recruit them. That way, you can never be disappointed..or start riots, burn mattresses, or create Facebook pages dedicated to the coach who disappointed you..
Thanks for the love guys!!

We can't really blame this guy. We refused to believe that Kiffin was a prick when he was our guy and they are just doing what we did. This poster is just making excuses for Kiffin because nobody wants to admit that their coach lacks morals and ethics.
But most importantly I think we have a found a replacement that possesses the values that we hold dear at the University of Tennessee.
Go Vols!

well I do agree with the young men going for the school, not the coach part, because you never know what a coach will do,but what do you think of Kiffin going to USC ?Ok Kiffin offered the kids a scholarship to Tennessee.
