Vandy does not accept the transfer of a class C- or below.

From their ungrad catalog:
Work transferred to Vanderbilt from another institution
will not carry with it a grade point average. No course in
which a grade below C– was received will be credited toward a
degree offered by the university.

And what about Peabody??

Can you really expect someone who makes D's at a junior college to be able to stay eligible at a university?

Anyone know what Lanier's status is? Is he gone for good or is he still taking classes and could he still play next year if he gets his grades in order and is academically eligible?

I believe he is gone for good.

If we are so smart why can't players figure out the damn defense and still don't know how to lineup properly.

If you graduate with an AS degree they wave that. I made a D in a math class at my community college and it transfered to UT. However, Ds don't count toward classes that are part of your major. Those have to be at least C, general education requirements and pre-requirements (before 2012) just pass grade doesn't matter.

What you said and what you quoted are not the same.
The quote from the catalog implies that a C- would be accepted.

I have heard from a former player who was recruited at Vandy that coaches told him that he could be admitted with a much lower SAT score than the general student. Can't remember something like 26 vs a 20 for a football player. Don't know about GPA though.

Nitpicking but that would be ACT. Don't know if SAT score that low is possible

Like it or not, Obama will win re- election without the Southern vote. Which mitt romney are you voting for, I know , the one who will say anything to get elected.
Christians that vote for a morman are hypocrites, ' cause romney doesn't believe in the gospel taught by Jesus and his disciples . Google LDS and read the "doctrine of continuity." O.K. everybody pile on ! :birgits_giggle: :nono:
