I saw on a few message boards that Alabama fans are complaining or making fun of the fact that we paid so much money to our coaching staff.

Here is the difference. UTs total staff payout is less than Alabama because of the 4 mill that Saban is making. That being said, that tells me that Kiffin is more worried about WINNING than the extra dollar up front. The money will come to him I am sure after we start to win.
