Interesting mention of Ainge...

He has a good chance to move into a backup roll. The Jets are not very high on Clemens.

I thought Kellen Clemens got traded to the Browns for the 5th pick.

That would make their roster
Sanchez
Ainge
Ratliffe.

I think you could see Ainge win the starting job for the first half of the season...get completely pounded into submission for Sanchez to come in about 10 games in and take over....

Clemens has been around for a few years and never much impressed, and whille Sanchez is very young and completely untested, the Jets have just invested HUGELY in the guy, so Ainge's future wouldn't seem to be in New York. But then the Jets are in a tight spot--there will be pressure to play Sanchez, but if could take years to develop, if at all. Arizona thought Leinart was going to be their QB savior, too, and we see how that worked out--another usc guy.

I think you could see Ainge being the Jim Sorgi for the Jets...a career backup. Pretty damn good gig if you ask me.

Ainge couldn't even mentally handle competing with Rick Clausen. And the reason why he even came to Tennessee was to avoid waiting his time behind Clemens. What makes anybody they that he's going to be able to handle a QB competition under the bright lights of NYC with Sanchez?

I think Ainge would be a perfect fit in the Patriots/Broncos offenses. They look for big, tall, QBs with average arms...

Sanchez will be the QB. I have been a Jets fan for a long time and Last year's draft with getting Gholston in the 1st rd and Ainge in the 5th rd has to be the worst draft ever. Ainge hasn't been practicing with the team and just showed up after the draft. We lost ratliff to the browns in the sanchez trade, wish it would have been Ainge. He is out of the NFL after June IMO.

Sanctez is a helluva lot closer to Palmer than he is Leinert. Leinert has no arm. Sanchez has a cannon.
