Interesting look at Ole Miss win vs Boise St.

I think the defense will play pretty well but the offense will probably put them in too many bad spots to keep it very close.

What if (for starts), we take a knee in the endzone on deep kickoffs and give Worely some room without the goalpost up his butt. That could help. Too often our return man starts channeling Devin Hester and gets nailed on the 10 or so. Mental mistakes, fumbles and poor decisions with the pass game will not help overcome weaknesses with the OL too.

Maybe Bo repeats with another bad first half. Vols should be able to withstand whatever happens in the second, good or bad. TN wins 10-7 in a close one.

I'm certainly not saying we will win without a doubt, but I do think that Ole Miss might be a little bit too over-hyped.

You've already explained Boise State. Add to it that Memphis played them all the way into the 4th quarter as well. It was 7-3. Texas A&M only looked good this season because everyone thought South Carolina was going to win the East. So when they stomped them, everyone was calling for "Kenny Football". A&M has since looked very underwhelming- just as South Carolina has. Alabama also looks different this year. It seems (I'm hoping) that the Kiffin Curse is gaining momentum.

That being said, I don't see Ole Miss' win over Bama as being some monumental victory. Bama is 5-3 in their last 8 games which is unheard of for someone like Saban. They hadn't played anyone worth anything until they played Ole Miss. And they very nearly (and should have) lost to Arkansas if it wasn't for a blocked PAT and fumble through an endzone (sound familiar?).

It'll be an interesting game for sure.

The football gods still love Alabama it seems; when will it end? Perhaps Kiffin will lend a hand.

Well thats debatable.

And yes, I remember. This place is always gushing about the guy on the bench.

Debatable? They were scoring at will against us. We had no answer when they attacked the edges of our defense. 339 rushing yards, 6.3 yards per attempt, yea Worley would have changed all that

Ole miss's offense will struggle vs our defense. It remains to be seen which of our two offenses will show up. If the uga game's offense shows up we win by two tds, if the fla game's offense shows up we will lose by two tds. It's that simple IMO.

Ole Miss had a 7-6 lead at halftime in their season opener, and the score stayed the same going into the 4th quarter. They wore out Boise's secondary in the 4th quarter with 3 touchdown passes. Final score was 35-13.
That same Boise St. team got beat by Air Force 28-14 on Sept. 27th. Why would I bring up Air Force? For the simple fact that Air Force was dominated last week by Utah State 34-16! That is the same Utah State team that we crushed in our season opener.
Those facts only mean that we are lightyears better than Boise State. How does all of this translate to Ole Miss? Our secondary will not fade in the 4th quarter like Boise state did. I believe our defense can get us this win as long as our offense can hold on to the ball and not give Ole Miss the short field.

Using the same logic they beat a Bama team that blew out a Florida team that beat us.

We are beating ourselves with turnovers.

That was the first game of the yr..look at AU last yr..they were a totally different team halfway through the season. Ole Miss is way better now than their first game. Can't really compare game to game or against different opponents. I see people talking about Memph/Ole Miss..Ole Miss was already thinking about and looking ahead to Ala, they had zero motivation in that game.
